Spoiler alert for anyone attending tonight’s 7 pm service. But the message is so good, it’s worth repeating. “Lie, cheat, steal, bear false witness. You name it. There’s ten of them.And then some more ideas, too. When the Lord’s law is at work, it is not to harm you. It is not to destroy you. It is not to take from you something that is beneficial. But rather, the law of God is always at work to form us, that we may follow Christ. For where is Christ going? But to the place where our sins will be forgiven and where life begins. If we do not follow Christ there, then we will walk in darkness, in death, and in damnation. Those are our only options.”

Pastor imagines what the scenario would be of how the thief on the cross got into heaven :
Thief: “The guy on the middle cross said I could come.” 😲
Pastor: “That’s what it means to confess Jesus as Lord at its most fundamental level. Not that we have brought anything but our sin and the need for Christ to die. But to confess Jesus as Lord is to confess that the God of all creation has sent His Son to love you and to redeem you.”✝️❤️

Pastor’s video contains a heartfelt request of a genuine need in our church. “When we are participants of the body of Christ, we have some ownership of the ministry. What if everything that was being done at church was just because the Pastor wanted to?”

This is compelling and a great reminder of “ownership” and shared mission to serve. Think about what you feel strongly about. What is on your heart to help with? There are so many ways to contribute your time and/or talent. If you aren’t sure what to do, talk to an Elder or any church leader. You can also comment below or send a private message on messenger. A little humor for your Monday. A mother was teaching her 3 year old the Lord’s Prayer. For several evenings at bedtime the little girl repeated the prayer after her mother. One night she said she was ready to say it by herself. The mother listened with pride as her child carefully enunciated each word, right up to the end of the prayer “Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us some E-mail. Amen”😅 Got any stories of something you said as a child or that your kids have said during church?
