l love. At its best, “church” is a place where imperfect, unfinished people come together to be forgiven, healed, and strengthened by the grace of God. Shaped by Christ’s love, we can become part of his mission to bless this world with the grace we ourselves have been given. As we love each other, serve those in need, join together in fellowship, celebrate worship and prayer, and study God’s Word together, the Holy Spirit works to transform our lives. Our congregation continues to redefine life and ministry for Reformation. Having been led and sustained by him in the past, we are constantly looking to discover where God is calling us to go next. Maybe that sounds like you, too. Maybe you’re wondering what the next chapter of your story will be. Or maybe you’re having a hard time seeing how God has been in the picture at all. Or perhaps you’re hungry to go deeper in your walk of faith. Wherever you are, we welcome you to join us for worship, Bible study, and fellowship. How can we find joy in life? Not passing happiness, not amusement, but joy? Today's Gospel, Matthew 16:21-28, sure doesn't seem like it deals with joy. Jesus "must" suffer, die, and rise again? We are called to deny ourselves and take up our crosses? Where's the joy in this? In today's sermon, though, Pastor Eric will show how this passage really does point us to joy, and how, in fact, the key to joy is shaped like a cross.

Thank you for a wonderful celebration of Pastor Paige's 25th Ordination Anniversary earlier this month! The worship service was beautiful, the picnic after worship was festive, and the food was delicious.
