MUMC Christian Education NEWS !

Welcome to a new Sunday School year!

Sunday School will be held every Sunday 9:40 - 10:20 for children age 5 and up in the Sunday School room starting on September 20, 2026. The exception will be Sundays with a combined service that starts at 9:30.

This fall, we will be learning about the Parables of Jesus. We chose this curriculum because each lesson stands alone and doesn't depend on knowledge from previous lessons:


1. Why Jesus Told Parables (Matthew 13:10-17)
2. The Story of the Soils (Matthew 13:3-9, 18-23)
3. Stories of the Kingdom (Matthew 13:24-33)
4. God’s Kingdom is a Treasure (Matthew 13:44)
5. The Unforgiving Servant (Matthew 18:21-35)
6. Which Son Obeyed? (Matthew 21:28-32)
7. The Story of the Talents (Matthew 25:14-30)
8. The Good Neighbor (Luke 10:25-37)
9. Lost Things Get Found (Luke 15:1-32)

Sunday School registration starts this Sunday, Sept. 13 from 9:00-9:30 before the 9:30 service. Forms are available at the church or call the office and we will send you one (603-673-2669)

Children are invited to come to Sunday School whenever they are in church! All are welcome!

The Family Worship Room is available both services for children 2-5 and for those who have trouble sitting through the service. These older children are encouraged to stay in church until after the Children's Moment, and then either continue to stay in church or go to the FWR where there are age appropriate toys, games, activities and supervision.

We also have a special Children's Worship Rug in the sanctuary and HAVE YOU SEEN OUR "KID'S STOP" POLE WITH CLIPBOARDS AND CHILDREN'S BULLETINS?????? It's sort of in the middle of everything in the narthex. On the rug in the sanctuary, there is a basket with pencils, crayons, puzzles, games and a bucket of fidget toys. There will be a Children's Moment during the service every Sunday except Communion Sunday.

We are excited about our children's ministry and look forward to seeing what God has in store for us as we continue to love and care for all children at MUMC.

Wanakee is the United Methodist Camp in NH. This should be a fun time. If you're runner, why not register for the 5K and stay for chicken BBQ!

Homecoming BBQ - August 15, 2026
After the Wanakee Wilderness 5K, stick around for our annual Homecoming BBQ! Starting at 11:30 AM, enjoy a delicious chicken barbecue while reconnecting with friends, exploring the campgrounds, perusing our silent auction, swimming, canoeing, and playing games.
Tickets will be available on the day of the event. Celebrate the end of summer with great food, fun activities, and community spirit. We can’t wait to see you there!
