First of all thank you to everyone who has trusted your kids and youth to us! It has been truly a blessing to allow the Holy Spirit to work within us to pour the love of Christ into them. We are seeing such a blessing of fruit in these young peoples lives!!
We hear all the time that this generation of young folks are too distracted with social media, too worldly, to depressed, to anxious and to far gone. That is a lie from the enemy! It is not true. We as Youth Pastors have seen God do amazing things through our young people(Dixie, Brayden, Kevin, Jackson, Piper, Teri, Keri, Sophia, Joesey, Huxly, Brinley, Adelyn, Karly, Kailee, Savannah, Autumn, Lawson, Jodee, Elizabeth)They have proven what folks(generally speaking) have said about them and have shown it's not the truth.
Yes, are there some challenges? Of course there is, but we have seen a hunger and thirst from these youth and they are tired of it, the fakeness etc.. They are asking questions about who they are, their identity in Christ, their purpose, their meaning, and THE truth. They are always searching for something real in a world full of counterfeits and that is why they look for it in social media etc...
The Bible has seen generations wander before. Yet God has always been faithful to pursue, redeem, and call people to Himself. Acts 2:17 reminds us that God pours out His Spirit on sons and daughters. Psalm 78 calls one generation to declare His works to the next. Jesus welcomed young people, blessed them, and invited them into His Kingdom (Mark 10:13β16).
God is still working. He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow and He never changes(Hebrews 13:8).
Y'all this generation is not a lost cause. It is our mission field that the Holy Spirit has given is to lead the young people to Christ and teach them that they belong, they matter, they are loved, that they are worthy and who they are in Christ. It is a calling for us to lead them by the Holy Spirit to make them into true disciples of His. We have been given one of the greatest opportunities for discipleship the Church has seen in a long time. PRAISE GOD!ππ₯
