🏕🔥 CAMP: Believe It! — Series Recap 🔥🏕

What an incredible month of adventure in Sozo Kids! 🌲 We spent the last four weeks learning from John the Baptist and Jesus in the wilderness — discovering that when we follow Jesus, He gives us everything we need for the journey ahead.

Here’s what our campers explored each week:

🗺️ Week 1:
John the Baptist prepared the way for Jesus and reminded us:
👉 I believe God gives me purpose.

👂 Week 2:
God spoke when Jesus was baptized and taught us:
👉 I believe God can speak to me.

💪 Week 3:
Jesus defeated temptation in the wilderness using God’s Word:

Week 3 Recap — CAMP: Believe It!

When you’re out camping, it can be tempting to step off the trail — but that’s how you can get lost in a hurry! Staying on the right path matters.

This week in Sozo Kids, we learned about Jesus being tempted in the wilderness. Even when the enemy tried to distract Him, Jesus used God’s Word to stay strong and stay on the right path.

His example reminds us that God is powerful — powerful enough to help us make wise choices and stand strong when we’re tempted.

Our Camp Motto: “I believe God is powerful.”

How can God help you make good choices this week?

Week 2 Recap — CAMP: Believe It!

When you’re out in the wilderness, you hear all kinds of sounds — birds chirping, animals rustling, the wind through the trees… but only if you’re listening closely.

This week in Sozo Kids, we learned how John baptized Jesus — and how God spoke from heaven, declaring that Jesus is His beloved Son! 💦🕊️

God still speaks today — through His Word, through leaders who teach us, and through the gentle nudges in our hearts. We just have to listen.

Week 1 Recap — CAMP: Believe It!

When you head into the wilderness, you don’t just wander — you need someone to help you get prepared, pack the right gear, and stay on the right trail.

This week in Sozo Kids, we learned how John the Baptist helped prepare the way for Jesus. God gave John a very special purpose: to point people to the Savior who was coming!

Just like John, God gives each of us a purpose too — a reason we’re here and a way to make a difference in the world around us.

🔥 New Series This January: CAMP — Believe It! 🔥

There’s nothing quite like camping — the fresh air, the adventure, the chance to learn new things and discover who we are. 🌲✨ And beginning this January in Sozo Kids, our campers are heading into the wilderness with one of the greatest outdoorsmen of all time… John the Baptist!

In this 4-week series, kids will discover how John prepared the way for Jesus — and how God has a purpose for them too. Every week, we’ll explore a new truth from our camp motto:

🏕️ I believe God gives me purpose.
🏕️ I believe God can speak to me.
🏕️ I believe God is powerful.
🏕️ I believe God’s words are true.

It’s going to be a month filled with fun, faith, camp-style challenges, and unforgettable Bible stories as we learn to follow Jesus — wherever He leads!

🎄 JOY STORY — DECEMBER SERIES RECAP! 🎉

This month in Sozo Kids, we celebrated the TRUE joy of Christmas — not just presents under the tree, but the greatest gift God has ever given: Jesus!

Here’s what your kids learned through our 4-week Joy Story adventure:

✨ Week 1 — Jesus Is the Savior God Promised
We saw how God kept His promise through the angel Gabriel’s message to Mary. Jesus is the gift God planned long before the manger!

⏰ Week 2 — God Sent Jesus at the Perfect Time
Even after 400 years of waiting, God’s timing was perfect. Zechariah and Elizabeth received joyful news: their son John would prepare the way for Jesus!

🌟 Week 3 — Jesus Brings Joy to the World
When Mary visited Elizabeth, joy literally leaped! Jesus brings real joy that changes everything.

🎁 Week 4 — Jesus Is God’s Greatest Gift
We celebrated the birth of Jesus — the gift that brings hope, peace, and joy to the whole world. Nothing compares to Him!

It’s been an amazing month celebrating the joy Jesus brings.

We can’t wait for the new year and all God has in store for our Sozo Kids family! 🎉🔥

🎁 JOY STORY — WEEK 4 RECAP! 🎁

We wrapped up our Christmas series with the BEST news ever!

Big Idea of the week: ✨ Jesus Is God’s Greatest Gift! ✨

Kids read Luke 2:1–20 and Micah 5:2–4, seeing the moment God’s promise finally arrived — Jesus is born! 🙌

A tiny baby in a manger… yet the Savior of the world. Shepherds heard the angels announce the good news, ran to see Jesus for themselves, and left filled with JOY.

Micah reminded us that God planned this gift long before Bethlehem ever knew what was coming. God knew the perfect place and the perfect time to send His Son.

🎄 Gifts are great, but nothing compares to Jesus — the greatest gift ever given.

We loved celebrating Joy Story with your kids this month! 🎉🔥

🎉 JOY STORY — WEEK 3 RECAP! 🎉

This week was FULL of celebration because our Big Idea was:

🌟 Jesus Brings Joy to the World! 🌟

Kids explored Luke 1:39–56, where Mary visits Elizabeth, and Zephaniah 3:14–17, a powerful promise that God Himself brings joy to His people.

When Mary showed up carrying Jesus, baby John leaped with joy — literally! 🙌
Even before Jesus was born, His presence filled the room with joy, hope, and praise.

And Zephaniah reminds us that God sings over His people with joy. How awesome is that?! 🎶✨

Jesus doesn’t just bring Christmas joy…
He brings WORLD-CHANGING JOY.

We’re pumped for next week as we wrap up Joy Story! 🎁🔥

🔥 JOY STORY — WEEK 2 RECAP! 🔥

This week in Sozo Kids, we kept the joy rolling with our Big Idea:

✨ God Sent Jesus at the PERFECT Time! ✨

Kids jumped into Luke 1:5–25, 56–66 and Malachi 3:1–4, learning about Zechariah, Elizabeth, and the miracle of baby John. Waiting 400+ years for a gift seems impossible… but that’s exactly how long God’s people waited for their Savior. God wasn’t late — He was perfectly on time. 🙌

And THEN came the joyful news:
💥 Zechariah and Elizabeth would have a son — John, who would prepare the way for Jesus!

God’s timing is always right. His promises always come through.

We’re loving this series — Week 3 is going to be amazing! 🎁✨
