Good Shepherd Child Development Center opened its doors in the Fall of 2009 to develop young minds and hearts. Our teachers and staff are passionate about teaching, learning and helping children grow and thrive in every way. All you have to do is think back to the teachers you loved in school to realize that the ones who made the greatest impact on your life are the ones who made their subjects come alive. This week we had our very first ever Big Bears 'n Little Cubs event! This is a new addition to our program for our Three Year Olds and Junior Kindergarten students. Our goal with implementing this program is to foster and encourage kindness, friendship, community, and compassion. We saw many examples of those core values in the children's interactions when it was time for the Big Bears to find their Little Cubs! It was absolutely adorable watching the children look for one another! And it was even more precious when they found their partners! The excitement on their faces was priceless! Our Big Bears sat with their Little Cubs and colored pictures together. It was heartwarming to watch the Bigs help the Littles reach the supplies or put caps on markers! The pictures were put together to form a friendship quilt. We can’t wait to meet again! 💛

🌟 Teacher Spotlight: Ms. Alexis! 🌟

This month, we’re celebrating Ms. Alexis! After nearly four years at Good Shepherd, Ms. Alexis is embracing her first year as a Lead Teacher with positivity, professionalism, and a smile each day. 💛

With patience, creativity, and compassion, she helps our youngest learners build confidence, friendships, vocabulary, and a love of learning. We are so grateful for the safe, joyful classroom she creates where our little ones can learn and thrive!
