The countdown is on! Only a few weeks remain until our 2026 Fine Arts Camp, June 15 through 19!

With summer break quickly approaching, now is the perfect time to make plans for the children this summer. If you are looking for a fun, meaningful, and completely free activity, we invite you to join us for our annual Fine Arts Camp.

This long running community event has become a favorite for many local families as children make new friends, connect with others, explore creativity, and grow deeper in God’s Word.

This year, campers will explore the story of Elijah and discover the faithfulness of God. Through Elijah’s story, children will learn how God faithfully cared for His people and how He continues to faithfully care for us today.

Each day, campers will participate in three exciting fine arts activities:

🎨 Crafts
Create hands on projects inspired by Elijah’s story and the lessons found in Scripture.

🎶 Music
Sing memorable songs and explore music through instruments and engaging activities.

🏃 Movement
Build teamwork and problem solving skills while having fun and staying active.

We have reached capacity every year, often with a waiting list, so be sure to register soon and secure your child’s spot before it is too late.

Register today at:

We look forward to another wonderful week of faith, friendship, music, creativity, and fun together!

Today we give thanks to God for the faithful mothers, grandmothers, and women who lovingly care for their families and point their children toward Christ.

Scripture reminds us that children are a gift from the Lord, and faithful mothers are one of His greatest blessings. Through their prayers, sacrifices, encouragement, and steadfast love, mothers help shape both the home and the faith of the next generation. As Christians, we give thanks not only for the care mothers provide physically, but also for the countless ways they reflect Christ’s love through daily acts of service and devotion.

This morning at fellowship, the husbands prepared special treats to honor the mothers of our congregation and thank them for all they do. We were also thankful to offer our moms the opportunity for a mother’s only, kid free lunch at a local restaurant while the fathers stayed behind to feed the children and enjoy play time together.

What a blessing it is when families serve one another in love, bearing each other’s burdens and giving thanks for the gifts God has provided.

Happy Mother’s Day to all our wonderful moms. May the Lord continue to strengthen and bless you in your important vocation.

Christ has risen!

Yesterday morning we enjoyed a beautiful Easter service. It was wonderful to see both familiar faces and new ones joining us in worship. One of the greatest joys was hearing the children lift their voices in song to the Lord, a reminder of the simple, confident faith our Savior calls us to.

As we reflect on Easter, there is no greater gift than the victory Jesus won for us through His death and resurrection.

While that gift stands above all, we also gave thanks for the incredible culinary gifts God has given to members of our congregation. It was a joy to share in both fellowship and food during our Easter brunch.

If you missed our Easter service, we would love to have you join us next Sunday at 9:00 AM as we continue celebrating the Easter season.

Join us this Friday at 7:15 p.m. for our Good Friday service at Living Hope Lutheran Church, located at 3903 Old Hundred Road South, Midlothian, Virginia.

Whether you are new to the area and looking for a church, have not been to church in years, or have never been at all, you are welcome here. Whether you know what Jesus has done for you or are just beginning to ask questions, we invite you to come and hear the Good News.

On Good Friday, we reflect on the cross and the sacrifice Jesus made for us. It is a message of grace: that salvation is a free gift given to you, not something you can earn. No matter your past, no matter your struggles, this gift is for you.

Come and hear what Jesus has done for you. Come and receive the promise of forgiveness, life, and salvation.

We would love to worship with you.

The importance of Lent

Along with many other Christians throughout the world, we consider the season of Lent to be important because it provides the opportunity—often through special, midweek worship services—to focus attention on the redeeming work of Jesus Christ. Jesus saved us by being our perfect substitute in life (Romans 5:19) and our innocent substitute in death (2 Corinthians 5:21). Lent furnishes opportunities to marvel at the forgiving, sacrificial love of God (Isaiah 53). The emphasis of Lent is not what we might give up for God. The emphasis is on what God gave up for us: his only begotten Son (John 3:16).

We do recognize that the Christian Church developed the church calendar, including the season of Lent, in Christian freedom. That means that there is no command of God to celebrate Lent, but there are many good reasons to observe that season. In Christian freedom we use the forty days of Lent as a special time of repentance and a time to prepare our hearts to observe the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

Join us this Wednesday, February 18th at 7:00 PM for our Ash Wednesday Service.
