DONATIONS NEEDED! Journey is sending a mission team to Brazil in June to serve people along the Amazon River. The mission organization there, Central Brazil Mission, has asked us to supply some needed OTC products. If you'd like to help, you can drop off your donation on Sunday or during our office hours (M-Th / 9-5). Thank you!

We have some trips coming up.

His Eyes in Honduras was created to serve God’s work in and around Tegucigalpa, Honduras. Specifically, the mission reaches out to the people in Tegucigalpa through the work of the Body of Christ Christian Clinic. Adults and teens are welcome to go on this mission trip. We are building a team now for the trip in August 2-9, 2025. Reach out to our MISSIONS TEAM if you’re interested.

Central Brazil Mission is an Amazon Boat Ministry that reaches and helps people that live in villages along the many tributaries of the Amazon River. C.B.M. with its “Project Amazonas: Christ, Life and Health” is giving much attention and emphasis to the Amazon Region of Brazil.
We are forming teams now for 2025 and 2026 trips.
2025 – 15-26 July (6 seats)
2026 – 11-22 August (13 Seats)

Global Mission Trip announcement!!

Journey is heading to Tegucigalpa, Honduras with the His Eyes organization. This mission reaches out to the people in Tegucigalpa through the work of the Body of Christ Christian Clinic. We received an update from our global partner, Juniper, today. Even though we haven't been able to send teams to Haiti in two years, progress and care continues for the communities around the Juniper mission house. Here are some photos to illustrate what has been happening in 2021.

Just a reminder RVA friends.. we are having an information session for Lighthouse Family Retreats in 2019 on Oct 30 at 6:30pm at the Chapel.

We will be trying to fill 2 retreats next July and are excited to partner with another church to fill these trips with an abundance of awesome volunteers. Come learn more or share with someone that you think might love to serve! If you are unable to attend but know you want to go, please remember that group registration opens November 1!

Have just returned from two very different Lighthouse Family Retreat missions. We helped 23 families reconnect during one of the hardest times in anyone’s life, living as your child goes through cancer. Some of the stories have happy endings, cancer is in remission. Others are not so lucky..one sweet little girl is literally living on borrowed time, making memories with her four older siblings and parents.

Through lots of sunshine (week 1) and LOTS of rain (week 2), I am confident that our Family Partners made a huge difference in the lives of these Retreat Families. Come join us in 2019 in Emerald Isle, NC or Destin, FL!!

Excerpt from one Retreat Family post I just read:
On our way home with tears streaming down my face. I don't know how I'm going to live without waking up to all the wonderful people we spent the week with. All the people who welcomed us into their hearts, and so quickly. All the people who get it, who share your very same fears, feelings, heartaches, and triumphs. The thought of not seeing them all everyday is heart wrenching, but I know our paths will cross again. This morning at breakfast we said SEE YOU LATER, never a goodbye. I LOVE you all so VERY much. Thank you all for your love, light and peace ❤. This Lighthouse trip was lifechanging. I made my peace with God who I have been very angry with for a very long time and it feels really good. I even got baptized again in the ocean in front of all these wonderful people. May God bless you ALL!!!!!
