We went back to the beginning today by teaching kids that God made them in His image. Genesis 1–2 shows that when God made people, He made them special and unique. He made people to think and reason, to know the difference between right and wrong, and to have special way to relate to God and others. When your kids share opportunities and challenges this week, ask them, “What do you think God wants you to do?” We can trust that God knows best because He’s the One that made us.

This week preschoolers learned they are made in God’s image. In our Bible story, we learned that God made a beautiful and special world. God made plants, animals, fish, birds, and people. God made people to be different from everything else He created. God made us in His image! God made people like Him in some special ways so we can reflect what He is like to other people. Who can you reflect God’s image to this week?
