Praying for Midland.

Join our community tonight.

Tonight at 7:30 pm, we are inviting the Midland community to join us at Centennial Park for a time of prayer.

Our city has been through a lot today.
I believe the answer to all of it starts on our knees.

I am praying 2 Chronicles 7:14 over Midland tonight. That we will seek God's face, and trust Him to heal our land. I am praying for our council, our neighbors, and especially those who are grieving.

We drummed and strummed and molded and hummed and painted and harmonized and bowed our way through three fun and creativity-filled days of art camp at FPC! We had a great week and hope to see you next Fall in our Fine Arts classes!

Creativity is both a gift from the Lord and a way to honor him! So this week at Fine Arts Camp at FPC, we’re exploring all the ways God has uniquely equipped us to use our creativity to bring him glory and praise!

As our AWC kids have been out and about serving the community this week, they’ve been debuting our new whole-church FPC Serve Shirts… Everyone who sees them loves them!

Now’s your chance to get one too! Available in two colors and in sizes YS-A3XL, the shirts are $15 each and we hope you’ll wear it anytime you’re out in the community serving with First Pres, whether that’s passing out pizza to Midland High students next fall or helping start a load of laundry at Laundry Love.

Our 5th graders are preparing for a cookies + lemonade stand!

So stop by TODAY outside the church library when you’re picking your kids up from VBS and get a sweet treat for a great cause.

The funds they raise will go to our VBS+AWC Mission project… we’re raising money to get a new forklift to use in their warehouse to help them with their ministry to provide supplemental food to people who are hungry all around the Permian Basin! Our local mission ministry will match, dollar for dollar, every penny our children raise this week; wouldn’t it be cool if they managed to meet their goal and buy a forklift this week!?
