Not only do we miss you here at Midland Soup Kitchen Ministry, our faithful volunteers do too! Here is a video put together by our weekly volunteers who dedicate their time each week to serve their community! Whether your in the kitchen or at our counter your job matters! We love our volunteers, and we appreciate your dedication! Although we are not able to see you right now, we know all of you are ready to get back to work! Here is their message to you! Also, we made a new friend from a wrong number at the end, yay!

Can we take a moment to stop and Pray for our inmates? In the free world we are starting to realize what its like to not be free, can you imagine how it is behind bars?

The Coronavirus has put fear into many of our hearts including our friends in prison. This is a cry for Prayer warriors!

“When I take my eyes off of Jesus it BECOMES SCARY. Bro I don’t even know what else to say. I stand stuck, I see the PANIC here food and supplies are a new concern, health, contacting this, LORD HELP!

Keep Praying for us and our families for PEACE, for Gods warring Angels to arise and take flight HE is capable of CALMING THIS STORM”
P.s. as he finished writing this letter 5 inmates went into quarantine...

It was a normal Sunday evening attending a sweet little girls 6th birthday party when something totally unexpected happened!

As I’m cutting the cake to serve to the children, I turn around to this woman standing behind me. She told me “I just want to thank you for The Bible you sent me when I WAS in prison. It really helped me while I was in there.” My heart instantly filled with joy, and all I could do was bring her in to embrace her.
