First Kids Midland Preschool

Tonight was our first “official” night of Mission Friends for our PreK 4s & Kinder kiddos. We had our lesson about our September Missionary, Lydia Greear who was a Corporate Chaplin in Jacksonville, Florida.
After the story, the kids got to rotate between 6 different stations that connected our lesson. They played with community helpers and buildings, magnatiles to create their own buildings, puzzles of corporate workers, a nature bin for them to explore and use a magnifying glass to look closely at leaves, pinecones, flowers and moss, a rug with different corporate buildings, and our very own flower shop! They kids had a blast and were awesome!

If your kiddos missed tonight! It’s ok, we meet every Wednesday from 7-8 immediately following Children’s Choir..

Our Wednesday Night programs are:
PreK 3 Music & Missions: 6-7pm in A117
Children’s Choir: 6-7pm in the JAM Room
Mission Friends: 7-8pm in the JAM Room

These kids sure do make my Sundays!!

Today we learned all about Joseph.. That Joseph had 12 brothers that weren't very nice to him because their dad liked Joseph the best. His dad made him a very special coat. Joseph ended up in Egypt where after several years, had seen a couple of his brothers, he then told those brothers to go back and bring back the rest of the family to Egypt to he could take care of them. This showed his brothers how much Joseph loved them.

Today during our Sunday School+ hour, we played in pasta that had different shades of brown and yellows to represent grain, corn and farm animals and for our craft each kiddo got to make their very own "coat of many colors". We had a blast and I love seeing each kids creation.

P.S. It's very hard to get 23 kids to look and smile at the same time.. (I have a couple hidden behind other kiddos that I didn't realize until just now.)

God’s really having me step out of my comfort zone. I have attended several trainings/conferences, but never thought I’d be the one leading a couple breakouts but here I am! I have been asked to be a presenter at a Preschool Ministry Training at FBC Brownfield tomorrow!
Prayers for me as I travel there, and for all the information I’ve prepared to be clear and easy to understand and that I help other Preschool Ministry leaders walk away with something helpful!

Said “see ya later” to my summer interns, Sarai and Jazmin! They did a great job and worked hard! Praying for them as they travel back to college and for the school year!
