🌱 Family Garden Day at St. Luke’s UMC 🌱

Spring is the perfect time to get our hands in the dirt and watch something beautiful grow together! Join us for Family Garden Day on Saturday, March 28 at 10:00 AM in the Thompson Annex Backyard (3100 W. Louisiana).

Come learn about our St. Luke’s Community Garden, help plant new seeds, and be part of something that will continue to grow in the months ahead. We will have gardening activities for kids, simple planting projects, and jobs for all abilities, so the whole family can join in. You can just enjoy the day of planting or learn how to make box gardens of your very own at home!

No gardening experience is necessary. Our team will be there to guide you, teach you, and make it fun for everyone.

Our community garden is not only a beautiful space for our church, it also serves a bigger purpose. Everything grown in the garden is donated to a local food bank, helping provide fresh food for families in our community.

Come plant, learn, serve, and grow with us. We would love to see you there! 🌼🌿

Help Needed ! Christmas Decorations Takedown

It’s time to lovingly pack away our Christmas decorations, and we could really use extra hands!

There are jobs for everyone:
• We’ll need a few strong helpers to move and store the larger trees.
• We also need plenty of helping hands to remove ornaments, wrap nativity pieces, and organize décor.

Many tasks are light and simple, perfect for anyone willing to pitch in.

We’ll meet this Saturday at 10:00 AM at St. Luke’s. Come for as long as you’re able, every bit of help truly makes a difference.

Midland County Fire Marshal Justin Bunch met with local 7th grader Andrew Hall today, who is working on earning his Emergency Preparedness Merit Badge as part of his path toward becoming an Eagle Scout one day.

They talked about disaster response, keeping communities safe, and what it’s like managing emergencies here in Midland County.
