Youth trip day four has come to a close. Today we slept in, had breakfast, and eventually made it to Schlitterbahn. The park was fun. The kids rode big slides, we got to meet the fantastic medics on staff (everyone is ok, there is a huge goose egg bump, but it was cleared as just a bump) and then the guys made hamburgers for dinner. Once again, the day ended with a rowdy game if dominos. We head home tomorrow. Parents- see you in the evening!

Youth trip day three. Good grief we are tired. Today we bagged 720 weekend food bags for underprivileged children. These bags had canned fruit, corn, canned chicken, box drinks, oatmeal, cookies, among other things that kids can pick up at different places throughout Galveston County. We picnic-ed at a park close by, and learned to play train dominos. We rode every ride we could at Pleasure Pier here on the island and ate junk food for dinner. Tomorrow, Schlitterbahn.

Youth trip day two was beach day. We picked up 38 lbs of trash on East Beach on Galveston Island!! After that, we rode the ferry to Port Bolivar for a picnic and back. We also played at the beach. The girls made tacos for dinner and the boys did a great job of cleaning up after. It must have been a day, because every kid put themselves to bed and its only 8:30.
