ππ₯π’π‘π«, π‘π¬ β Families and community members gathered in the Northeast Bronx for La Luz del Mundoβs fourth Free Asthma Community Health Event, continuing the churchβs commitment to promoting health and wellness throughout the community. The free event brought together healthcare professionals, volunteers, and local families for an afternoon dedicated to respiratory health education, prevention, and support.
Attendees had the opportunity to speak with a respiratory therapist and other health professionals who shared information about asthma, COPD, sleep apnea, and other respiratory conditions affecting individuals of all ages. Educational materials, health resources, and guidance on prevention and disease management were available to help families make informed decisions about their health.
The event also featured free health screenings, interactive activities for children, arts and crafts, and community giveaways, creating a welcoming environment where learning and family engagement went hand in hand. Through these activities, families gained practical tools to support healthier lifestyles and better respiratory health.
Deardire Gregg, founder of Straitleap, who attended the event, expressed appreciation for the initiative, saying it was meaningful to see a community-centered effort focused on education, awareness, and access to health resources. She added that events like this help bring important health information directly to families in a way that feels accessible, engaging, and supportive.

ππ₯π’π‘π«, π‘π¬ β Familias y miembros de la comunidad se reunieron en el noreste del Bronx para el cuarto evento gratuito de salud comunitaria sobre el asma organizado por La Luz del Mundo, reafirmando el compromiso de la iglesia con el impulso de la salud y el bienestar en la comunidad. El evento reuniΓ³ a profesionales de la salud, voluntarios y familias locales en una jornada dedicada a la educaciΓ³n sobre salud respiratoria, la prevenciΓ³n y el apoyo a los pacientes.
Los asistentes tuvieron la oportunidad de conversar con una terapeuta respiratoria y profesionales de la salud, quienes ofrecieron informaciΓ³n sobre el asma, la EPOC, la apnea del sueΓ±o y otras enfermedades respiratorias que afectan a personas de todas las edades.
