Mike Ryan is a first-year M.Div. student at Yale Divinity School, where he focuses on chaplaincy and pastoral care. He holds a B.A. in Ancient Near Eastern Studies from Brigham Young University, a background that shapes his love for the wisdom traditions of the ancient world. Before coming to Yale, Mike spent two years in southern Italy doing accompaniment work with refugee communities. He has also served as a contracted chaplain at Utah State Prison and currently holds a chaplaincy fellowship at Connecticut College. He lives in New Haven and is grateful to be with the South Church community on May 31.
