The mission of The Landing ministry is to provide a safe place for our junior and senior high school students to process life and the struggles that accompany it, provide tools to help them live emotionally and spiritually healthy lives, and point them toward the freedom found in Jesus Christ.

This curriculum is designed to mirror the same material as the adult Celebrate Recovery curriculum, only packaged for students. A typical night in the Landing will consist of Connect Time, Worship, Teaching Time, Small Group, and Fellowship Time.

Through the Landing, our students can find a safe place to find help, hope, and healing through engaging the recovery principles and growing in relationship with Jesus Christ. Ultimately, this ministry can help students learn how to break cycles of dysfunction and provide tools for them to live free and healthy lives.

If you are interested or have a question, please don't hesitate to reach out. We look forward to seeing you and your Teen on Thursdays.

WE REMEMBER — SEPTEMBER 11

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the courage of the first responders, firefighters, police officers, service members, and everyday people who stepped forward in the face of tragedy.

We remember the families whose lives were forever changed. We remember those who ran toward danger to help others. And we remember how, in the days that followed, people came together to support, serve, pray, and care for one another.

Twenty-five years later, we have not forgotten.

As a Celebrate Recovery Forever Family, we also recognize that anniversaries like today can bring back grief, trauma, fear, and painful memories. You don't have to carry those feelings alone. Reach out to your sponsor, accountability partners, Forever Family, and the people God has placed in your life.

Today, we pray for the families who continue to carry the weight of loss, for our first responders and military, and for our nation.

May we continue to choose compassion over division, service over selfishness, and love for one another.

We remember. We honor. We pray. We will never forget.

The mission of Celebration Place ministry is to help children experience the love of Jesus as they learn how to love themselves and others while they grow in their relationship with God. We strive to partner with parents to help break the cycle of dysfunction destroying so many of our families. Children also learn healthy coping skills for life’s tough issues.

Celebration Place is the approved children’s curriculum for Celebrate Recovery ministries for children ages 5-13 years of age. This Christ-centered curriculum mirrors the lessons taught in Large Groups for adults.

If you are interested in the program and/or have questions, let us know. We would love to see you and your kids next Thursday.

What is People Pleasing?

People pleasing is a behavior pattern in which an individual excessively prioritizes the needs, desires, and approval of others over their own. This can manifest in various ways, such as consistently agreeing with others to avoid conflict, going out of one's way to help others even at personal cost, and suppressing one's own opinions or feelings to maintain harmony.

While being considerate and cooperative are positive traits, people pleasing often stems from a deeper fear of rejection, low self-esteem, or a desire for validation. Over time, this behavior can lead to stress, resentment, and a loss of personal identity, as the individual may struggle to assert their own needs and boundaries.

🍂 SEPTEMBER IS A NEW SEASON 🍂

A new month doesn’t mean everything suddenly gets easier, but it can remind us that God is still working, we’re still growing, and our recovery story is still being written.

This September, let’s remember:

S — Surrender your past and step into God’s plan.
E — Embrace change and trust His timing.
P — Persevere through challenges with faith.
T — Thank God for every blessing, big and small.
E — Encourage others and build up the body of Christ.
M — Make time for prayer, worship, and His Word.
B — Believe God is working even when you can’t see it.
E — Extend grace to yourself and to others.
R — Rest in His promises and rejoice in your new life.

Recovery is not about having everything figured out. It’s about continuing to take the next right step with Jesus and your Forever Family beside you.

📖 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” — 2 Corinthians 5:17

Whatever August looked like, September is another opportunity to keep moving forward.

🌱 One day at a time. One step closer to freedom.

🙌 We are Celebrate Recovery.
❤️ And recovery is better together.

💜 September is National Su***de Prevention Month.
At Celebrate Recovery, we know recovery doesn’t mean life suddenly becomes easy. Sometimes life happens unexpectedly. Pain gets heavy. Grief hits. Relationships change. Old hurts surface. And there may be moments when you realize, “I need some extra support today.”

That’s why we have a Forever Family. ❤️

Maybe today you need to attend an extra Celebrate Recovery meeting. Maybe you need to call your sponsor, reach out to your accountability partners, talk with a trusted pastor or friend, or simply tell someone, “I’m not doing okay right now.”

And sometimes, you may need additional crisis support.

📱 Call or text 988 to reach the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline. You can also chat with a trained crisis counselor through the 988 Lifeline.

Reaching out for help is not something to be ashamed of.
We believe in the power of prayer. 🙏
We believe in community.
We believe in walking alongside one another.
And we believe that when someone is in crisis, connecting them with trained help matters too.

Forever Family, you don't have to face the difficult moments alone.

Keep coming back. Keep reaching out. Keep talking. Keep praying. And when you need more help, please ask for it.

❤️ Your life matters.
