East Cumberland Avenue Baptist Church Welcome to East Cumberland Avenue Baptist Church, located in Middlesboro. We have been serving God and the Tri-State community for 117 glorious years!

We refer to our church as A Family of Caring Believers, and we look forward to sharing our faith and family with you. What We Believe
We believe the Holy Bible is the Word of God. We accept full

y the writings of the Old and New Testament as the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God. Psalm 119:89; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13. We believe in the Godhead. We believe God exists in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Colossians 2:9; Matthew 29:19; Matthew 3:14-17. We believe that Jesus Christ is God’s Only Begotten Son. He pre-existed with God the Father before His birth on Earth and was supernaturally conceived by the Holy Spirit in the body of the virgin Mary. He lived a totally sinless and perfect life. He died on the cross for the sins of the whole world. He was buried and supernaturally raised out of the grace and declared the victorious Son of God over sin, death and hell. John 3:16; Colossians 1:17; Isaiah 7:14; Luke 2:26-38; 1 Peter 2:22; Romans 1:1-4; Hebrews 7:25. We believe all are sinners and Salvation is ONLY Possible through Jesus Christ. Since Adam and Eve disobeyed God in the Garden of Eden, we are all born into sin and in need of redemption. We believe salvation is by grace through faith, it is the free gift of God. We believe people are saved by faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Psalm 51:5; Isaiah 53:6; Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:1-4 and 8-9; Romans 10:9-10, 13; Hebrews 9:22.
