Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery ministry for anyone who is carrying a hurt, habit, or hang-up.

And no, it is not only for people struggling with addiction.

It is for the person trying to heal from anxiety, shame, grief, anger, control, codependency, trauma, insecurity, resentment, fear, or old wounds that still seem to show up in everyday life.

At Victory CR, we believe healing happens when truth, grace, Scripture, prayer, serving, and safe community come together.

You do not have to have everything figured out before you come.
You do not have to know the right words to say.
You do not have to pretend you are fine.

You can come as you are and take one honest step toward healing and freedom in Jesus.

If you have been wondering whether CR is for you, this is your invitation!

By making time with God a daily habit, not just a hopeful intention.

Principle 7:
Reserve a daily time with God for self-examination, Bible reading, and prayer in order to know God and His will for my life and to gain the power to follow His will.

Step 11:
Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God, praying only for knowledge of His will and the power to carry it out.

"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly." โ€“ Colossians 3:16

Need help staying on track in recovery?
Here are some things that make a big difference:

โœ… Make a daily appointment with God. Quiet time is a powerful time.
โœ… Stay connected. Donโ€™t skip your recovery meetings, your people are your lifeline.
โœ… Spend time with your safe people, whether thatโ€™s family or church family.
โœ… Serve somewhere. Giving back fills you up in a way nothing else can.

Sometimes the present touches a place in us that still needs healing.

In this new podcast episode, Rodney talks about how childhood experiences can still show up in our reactions, relationships, fears, coping habits, and need for control.

Not so we can blame the past.
Not so we can excuse unhealthy choices.
But so we can invite Jesus into the places that still need healing.

Recovery helps us stop asking, โ€œWhat is wrong with me?โ€ and start asking, โ€œWhat happened to me, and what does Jesus want to heal?โ€

The thoughts we keep rehearsing do not usually stay quiet.

They shape the way we see ourselves.
They shape the way we see other people.
They shape how we respond when we feel hurt, afraid, rejected, overwhelmed, or out of control.

That is why recovery is not just about changing what we do.

It is also about paying attention to what has been playing on repeat in our minds.

The lie that says, โ€œI will never change.โ€
The shame that says, โ€œThis is just who I am.โ€
The fear that says, โ€œI have to stay in control.โ€
The resentment that keeps replaying the same wound over and over again.

Romans 12:2 reminds us that transformation comes through the renewing of our minds.

And that renewal does not happen by pretending the thoughts are not there.

It happens when we bring them honestly to God.
When we let His truth interrupt the old patterns.
When we begin to fix our thoughts on what is true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, and worthy of praise.

You do not have to believe every thought that shows up.
You do not have to keep feeding the ones that pull you back into old habits, old hurts, or old ways of surviving.

Healing often begins when we bring our thoughts into the light and invite Jesus to meet us there.

What stood out to you from last nightโ€™s Spiritual Inventory Part I lesson?

Your feed is forming you.

What you constantly look at, listen to, engage with, and dwell on eventually starts shaping your thoughts, your emotions, your desires, and even your outlook on life.

The algorithm is designed to keep feeding you more of whatever holds your attention.

That is why we have to be intentional about what we allow into our hearts and minds.

If we constantly consume anger, comparison, lust, fear, negativity, or chaos, eventually we start carrying those things with us.

But the opposite is true too.

When we fill our lives with truth, worship, Scripture, encouragement, healthy community, recovery, and the presence of God, our hearts begin to shift in a different direction.

Philippians 4:8 reminds us to think about whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable.

Your attention matters.
Your focus matters.
What you feed grows.

Recovery is not just about changing behaviors.
It is about renewing the mind.

Take 30 seconds to remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to others. We honor and thank you for your courage and sacrifice. God, comfort the families who carry their memories and loss. Amen.

We can't escape the world and its worries. But we *can* be a community of people who lift each other up and walk with each other through the cares of the world.

So...Forever Fam, who can you encourage today?

05/22/2026

If you're feeling anxious today, take a moment to say this prayer:
I cast my cares on You, Lord, because You care for me. Quiet the noise in my mind. Remind me that Your peace surpasses all understanding and that You are not the author of fear, but of peace and power. Amen.
