This past week, Pastor Dave alluded to a plethora of what he referred to as "I am" statements. These statements are pulled from verses throughout the bible and inform us of our identity in Christ.
† I am created – “You created my inmost being… I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” – Psalm 139:13-14
† I am loved – “Because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in our trespasses.” – Ephesians 2:4-5
† I am wanted – “All the days ordained for me were written in Your book before one of them came to be.” – Psalm 139:16
† I am valuable – “You are precious in My eyes, and honored, and I love you.” – Isaiah 43:4
† I am treasured – “The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save. He will rejoice over you with joy. He will calm you in His love. He will rejoice over you with singing.” – Zephaniah 3:17
† I am a masterpiece – “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.” – Ephesians 2:10
† I am saved – “He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of His beloved Son.” – Colossians 1:13
† I am forgiven – “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.” – Ephesians 1:7
† I am alive forever – “The free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” – Romans 6:23
† I am accepted – “Everyone the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will never cast out.” – John 6:37
† I am complete – “You have been made complete in Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.” – Colossians 2:10
† I am secure – “Anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the One who was born of God keeps them safe, and the evil one cannot harm them.” – 1 John 5:18
† I am comforted – “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles.” – 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
† I am protected – “The Lord will keep you from all harm – He will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.” – Psalm 121:7-8
† I am healed – “He Himself brought our sins in His body up on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live for righteousness; by His wounds you were healed.” – 1 Peter 2:24
† I am a new creation – “Just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may walk in newness of life.” – Romans 6:4
† I am a child of God – “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!” – 1 John 3:1
† I am an heir of God – “You are no longer a slave but God’s own child. And since you are His child, God has made you His heir.” – Galatians 4:7
† I am one with Jesus – “Whoever is united with the Lord is one with Him in Spirit.” – 1 Corinthians 6:17
† I am Spirit-filled – “Because we are His children, God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts.” – Galatians 4:6
† I am holy – “He chose us in Him, before the foundation of the world, to be holy and blameless in His sight.” – Ephesians 1:4
† I am righteous – “Christ is the culmination of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.” – Romans 10:4
† I am free – “If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” – John 8:36
† I am chosen – “You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.” – 1 Peter 2:9
† I am called – “Who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of His own purpose and grace, which He gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began.”– 2 Timothy 1:9
† I am anointed – “He anointed us, set His seal of ownership on us, and put His Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.” – 2 Corinthians 1:21-22
† I am peaceful – “We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand.” – Romans 5:1-2
† I am hopeful – “In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” – 1 Peter 1:3
† I am joyful – “I have told you these things so that My joy may be in you and your joy may be complete.” – John 15:11
† I am blessed – “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.” – Ephesians 1:3
