GIFT - Growing In Faith Together

Years ago, the public sometimes referred to learning about one’s faith as “Sunday school” or “church school”. It’s not just “school”…. It’s really more about understanding your faith and growing into it.

Families who feel called to begin preparation for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist (typically for children in Grade 2, ages 7–8) or Confirmation (typically for teens in Grade 10, ages 15–16) are warmly invited to contact the

Hey you. Yes, you! You reading this Facebook post. You going through our page. You are not here by accident. There’s a reason that you are seeing this. Now that we have your attention… Go outside, take a look around at all of creation, pause for a moment, inhale, exhale, give thanks…

Now…..Repeat! Later today. Tomorrow. The day after that. The week after that. And the next month…. just a reminder that it’s good for the body and soul to get out, unplug, take a break, and just simply BE…

Good morning! After all of the recent rain, the fog was particularly heavy on this early morning walk. The road, although flat and dry, turned and weaved around many corners. Although the roadside grass had recently been cut, it was still difficult to pick out the ditches on either side.

When you think about it, this backcountry Schoharie Road is a lot like life. We travel down this road every day, sometimes being able to see a little ways into the future, sometimes not much at all. Sometimes there are guard rails protecting us from the ditches; other times not so often. sometimes we see friends along the road; sometimes we meet strangers.

And thinking back to the many stories and parables in the Bible, God lays out a road for us and offer suggestions on how to stay on this road, navigating obstacles and pitfalls and danger. But, it’s really up to us to listen to those stories and then figure out what road we want to follow.
