Made an interesting discovery while cleaning the Capt. Abial Peirce stone at Reed Cemetery. Someone at some point had shoved a small piece of slate in a muddy hole at the base of the backside of the stone...when I removed it and turned it around, look what it was! Now to find the rightful owner of this beauty... 😯🤔

It's never too early to "Think Spring!". The Friends of Middleborough Cemeteries is now looking at the 2017 calendar to plan Spring Cleaning Days in April.
