There are moments in life when you must learn to encourage yourself. When you find yourself being everything to everyone, yet not receiving that same measure in return, it can feel like rejection. But this is not the moment to become angry—it is the moment to gain understanding.
You must recognize that some people, even those closest to you, simply do not have the capacity to love you into your purpose. That limitation is not a reflection of your worth or what you carry. It is a reflection of where they are.
You also have to discern that it is not that you lack what they need—it is that they have grown accustomed to environments where pity is entertained and sustained. Purpose, however, requires growth, accountability, and elevation—things not everyone is willing or able to embrace.
Guard your heart. Be mindful of how and with whom you share your intimate thoughts and emotions. Everyone is not equipped to handle the depth of who you are, and misplacement of vulnerability can lead to unnecessary wounds.
Encourage yourself. Strengthen yourself. And continue to walk in purpose, even when it is not understood or reciprocated.
