Welcome! Whether you have been a believer for a long time, are beginning a new walk with God, or are just curious about faith and spiritual matters, we invite you to be a part. We'll enjoy a few songs and take a look at everyday life and what it means in light of our existence before God.

We are part of the Church of God Movement whose general offices are located in Anderson, Indiana. We are a people committed to diving into God’s Word and spreading the hope of the Gospel to the world. We’re committed to the mission that Jesus Christ gave every believer: to make disciples of all nations (Matt 28:18–20). You will find a great diversity of convictions and practices within the Church of God. Though we have differences, we share a common story of faith, growing together into the fullness of Christ (Ephesians 4:13). We worship and serve as citizens of God’s kingdom. We celebrate our life in Christ and accept our call to be the body of Christ in our world—all to the glory of God.

Our Rise of the Messiah Class initially scheduled to begin this week will have to be postponed to next week. There was a drainage issue discovered at the church. Hopefully everything will be fixed soon, so plan on joining us for the class next Wednesday at 10:00 AM or 7:00 PM.

Tomorrow evening will be the first of four Wednesdays looking at the Old Testament covenants leading up to the New Testament Covenant provided in Christ Jesus. The time will be 7:00 to 8:00 PM at the church. Doors will be open at 6:45. This study will conclude on March 25th.

NO SERVICE TODAY

Due to the weather this morning, and the covered parking lot, service will be cancelled today. The scheduled dinner will be postponed. More details about that will be settled this week. Stay warm everyone.

Because of the water last weekend in the basement, everything has been displaced. So there will be No Game Night this week. If you are available on Friday, there is much to go through and put away. Please let us know if you are available to help.

In a world where common sense often seems to have vanished, where what is right, good, and wholesome, is exchanged for what is dark, evil, and destructive, we are called to shine brightly. Is it easy? Often it is not. But God has given us the means to look beyond ourselves, and to enter deeply into his presence. We can focus our faith and sort through the clutter that so easily entangles us. Then we hear His voice, and see His mighty hand move through our lives. The problem is, we must adjust our lives and intentionally make changes for it to happen. Herein lies the problem.

Too often, Christians have become lazy in their faith, claiming to love God, but that love has been replaced by personal preference. The Scripture warns of a great falling away, and of the broad way that appears easy, but it leads to destruction. Many have compromised and chosen to travel it’s way; even many who once professed to be follows of Jesus, can now be found upon this “easier” way.

But the way to God is narrow and requires intentionality. We will explore this deeper, Sunday, as we continue our focus on the essential Spiritual Habits for a deeper Christian life. I hope that you can join us, for we are all better, when we gather.
