Pastor Rodney Spencer was called by God to lead his people into a Victorious life in the year of 2002 as he was preparing for a revival in Macon, Mississippi. While waiting for the season to branch out he remained faithful in his current ministry and shared with his Pastor the calling God had placed upon his lif
e. After receiving the name God placed in Pastor Spencer the ministries that would bloom within the church. A few years later, God gave Pastor Spencer the floor plan of the structure of the church. With the assignment and plan given by God, Pastor Spencer continued to serve, wait, and seek God. Pastor Spencer knew that God was purging and preparing him for such a time as this! He remained in the refinery fire allowing God to make him. In the year of 2007 Pastor Spencer became ill and was told he would die. While in the hospital his wife, Lady Spencer, took him the vision in writing to encourage him and place him in remembrance that God’s word is out there. That he was going to live and not die and that God’s promise (word) was going to be fulfilled through him. Through many challenges Pastor Spencer is here ready to serve God’s people. After recovering from this illness and acknowledging it was time Pastor Spencer informed his wife and with the blessing of his Pastor and Bishop everything fell in place. The owners of a local church building which stated a couple of years earlier “NO” to using their facility now said YES. People that were hungry for a word begin to call after Pastor Spencer preached at a funeral asking where his church was. Vision to Victory Ministries was birth November 24, 2008 and the first official services were held at Southwind Emmanuel Church, Thursday, December 4, 2008. There were 21 people in attendance to God be PRAISE! The Lord has continued to bless and add to the ministry souls that are lost, down trodden, bruised, rejected and broken. On March 27, 2009 he and his wife were installed as Servants by Bishop Donald L. Alford Sr. Pastor Spencer along with his wife, Evangelist Lyzell Spencer continues to teach the people the power of God using Habakkuk 2:2 -3 instructing them to write a vision for their life. Our church creed is “A ministry where God will be glorified and His word will be embraced. We will praise God in spite of….and Worship God because of…we’re looking beyond our past hurts and failures and marching into our Victorious Future in Christ Jesus.
