Hi all! The weather is going to be beautiful for Wednesday(Sept 17), so let's meet at Creek Ridge again( I like it because there's dogs😉) I'm thinking a nature hunt sounds like a good idea- who's in?? MC1st friends! I'll be at Creek Ridge County Park(County Road 400) at 4:30 again tomorrow(Wednesday 9/11) I hope you'll come and join me. The kids can play and I'll be bringing this beautiful book (a gift from Ms. Karen Nagy!) for inspiration for "Messy Conversation" with the grown ups. Dogs are welcome (half the fun of Creek Ridge is watching the dogs at the dog park!)

Hey MC1st friends! I forgot that yesterday was a holiday when I promised a video😂 But, tomorrow's park will be (drum roll please... ...) Creek Ridge County Park!! We'll meet up at 4:30 and while the kids are playing, any grown ups who want to have a "Messy Conversation" together will begin about 5:00. See you then!! Creek Ridge is the county park on 400 N.

Hey MC1st friends! I hope the new school year is going well. We'll be back together starting next Wednesday, September 4. Since we can't be in the church building like we planned, let's play at a park! I'm taking a vote: ready? Should we meet at:
A) Gardena Park at 900 Gardena St or
B) Creek Ridge County Park at 7943 W 400 N

MC1st friends, this is just a reminder that there will NOT be a Messy Church for September. Due to the issues with the building, not only do we not have an elevator to move needed items but because of the issue with the oil/chemical release we are not able to go in the building and retrieve the items we would need to do an outdoor Messy Church. It's a bummer, for sure, but hang in there and we'll keep you posted!

A couple of updates for MC1st families. Plans are still being made for where Sunday worship and other activities will be taking place while the church building is closed for the work that needs to be done.
First, Wednesday evening activities for children will begin again on September 4. If we have secured an indoor space by then, we'll meet there and if not(and the weather is nice) we'll meet outside at a park. Stay tuned for those details. I'll have an update about "Messy Conversations" soon as well.
Secondly, the Messy Church planned for September 6 has been cancelled. We had planned to meet outside, however, we don't have an elevator to move things or access to the building and supplies right now.
Hang in there, watch for updates, and say a prayer for everyone trying to get our beautiful church building back up and running.

Good morning,
Pastor Nancy has asked me to pass the message that we regret to have to inform all of you that the church's elevator suffered a major failure yesterday and will be out of service for repairs for at least the next three weeks. We will keep you updated on the progress.We know that this presents an accessibility challenge for some of you, and we apologize. This issue was not for lack of maintenance, in fact- the tech told Chris it was the first time he had ever seen this happen (leave it to our building!) Thank you all for your patience with our dear, old building!
