El Seminario Universitario St. John Vianney en Miami, Florida, está contratando a un Lavaplatos / Auxiliar de Cocina a tiempo completo, cuya responsabilidad es mantener limpios y sanitizados los utensilios tanto del área de servicio al cliente como de la cocina. El Lavaplatos / Auxiliar de Cocina realizará una variedad de tareas básicas de limpieza. Las acciones generalmente son determinadas por instrucciones específicas del supervisor o siguiendo procedimientos, métodos y prácticas bien definidos. El Lavaplatos / Auxiliar de Cocina desempeña todas sus funciones y responsabilidades en alineación con la misión, visión y valores de la Arquidiócesis Católica de Miami.

Las responsabilidades incluyen:

Lavar todos los utensilios, incluyendo ollas, sartenes, cubiertos y vasos, a mano o utilizando lavaplatos. Colocar y almacenar correctamente el equipo, los platos y los utensilios limpios en las áreas de almacenamiento asignadas. Abastecer las estaciones de servicio, alacenas, refrigeradores y otras áreas asignadas con los platos y utensilios necesarios. Limpiar los recipientes de basura con agua o v***r. Trasladar los suministros y equipos de lavado desde el almacén hasta el área de trabajo a mano o utilizando carretillas de mano. Puede asistir en la limpieza y preparación de diversos alimentos para su cocción y/o servicio, según se indique. Garantizar que las áreas de trabajo se mantengan seguras, limpias y ordenadas, cumpliendo con todas las normas de la empresa, locales y estatales en materia de salud, seguridad e higiene. Realizar otras tareas relacionadas según se le asignen.

Requisitos:

Diploma de escuela secundaria o G.E.D. Licencia de conducir válida del estado de Florida y seguro de automóvil. Conocimiento de los métodos, prácticas, herramientas y equipos estándar del servicio de limpieza. Capacidad para comprender y seguir instrucciones. Capacidad para comprender y cumplir con los estándares del restaurante en materia de salud, seguridad y excelencia. Capacidad para mantenerse alerta y concentrado en un entorno ruidoso y de ritmo acelerado. Capacidad para trabajar eficazmente con el personal de cocina. Orientado al detalle y minucioso. Es posible que se requiera actividad física directa para operar máquinas o procesos. Debe poder agacharse, inclinarse y limpiar con frecuencia. Uso demostrado de manos y brazos para manipular, instalar, posicionar y mover materiales y objetos. Debe poder permanecer de pie durante períodos prolongados de tiempo. Debe poder levantar y mover objetos. Capacidad para trabajar al aire libre cuando sea necesario, en un ambiente caluroso y húmedo, así como trabajar en lugares elevados. Disponibilidad para trabajar días, noches, fines de semana y/o días festivos según sea necesario. Disposición a expandir sus habilidades de comunicación oral en inglés.

St. John Vianney College Seminary in Miami, Florida is hiring for a full-time Dishwasher / Kitchen Auxiliary who is responsible for keeping the wares for the front and back of the house are clean and sanitized. The Dishwasher / Kitchen Auxiliary will perform a variety of basic janitorial assignments. Actions are normally determined by specific instructions from the supervisor or by following well-defined procedures, methods, and practices. The Dishwasher/Kitchen Auxiliary performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.

Responsibilities include:

Wash all wares, including pots, plans, flatware, and glasses, by hand or using dishwashers.
Correctly place and store clean equipment, dishes, and utensils in assigned storage areas.
Stock serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and other assigned areas with necessary dishes and utensils.
Clean trash receptacles with water or steam.
Move dishwashing supplies and equipment from storage to work area by hand or using hand trucks.
May assist in cleaning and preparing various foods for cooking and/or serving, as directed.
Ensure work areas remain safe, clean, and orderly, adhering to all company, local, and state guidelines regarding health, safety, and sanitation.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
High-school diploma or G.E.D.
Valid FL driver license and automobile insurance.
Knowledge of standard methods, practices, tools, and equipment of the janitorial service.
Ability to understand and follow directions.
Ability to understand and meet restaurant standards for health, safety, and excellence.
Ability to remain alert and focused in an environment that is noisy and fast-paced.
Ability to work effectively with kitchen staff.
Detail-oriented and thorough.
Direct physical activity may be required to operate machines or processes.
Must be able to bend, stoop, and wipe frequently.
Demonstrated use of hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things.
Must be able to stand for significant periods of time.
Must be able to lift and move objects.
Ability to work outdoors when required, in a hot and humid environment, as well as work in high places.
Able to workdays, nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed.
Good oral and written English-language communication skills.
