Now accepting applications for the 2026 SSG Clyde A.Taylor Award. The j deadline to apply is April 1, 2026. To be eligible, high school seniors must meet the requirements as follows:

1. Be a high school senior in Ottawa County, OK (Afton, Commerce, Fairland, Quapaw, Miami, or Wyandotte).
2. 3.0 GPA or better. 3. Be an active member of a local church
4. Must be provisionally accepted pending high school graduation & planning to attend a fully accredited college or university outside of the immediate 4–State Area in 2026. (excludes NEO, Pitt State, and MSSU).

The winner will be presented with a certificate and receive the items needed to set up a dorm room or an apartment.

For any Native American customers or other tribal friends in the path of the LA Fires, please check out this website for information on their open shelter and other resources.

Also, anyone needing to evacuate from the area of the fires is able to use an AirBnB as a refuge for a week free of cost.

Stay safe! Praying for everyone involved out there!

We hope you are staying safe and healthy during this challenging time. UAII has decided to use our Temple location as an unofficial emergency shelter for employees and community members affected or evacuated by the fires. We are providing food, water, and shelter for those in need over the next few days, as long as we have power. The shelter will remain open during the day.

If you or someone you know needs to utilize this shelter,
or if you need transportation to/from the Temple shelter during the day,
please reach out to (213) 804-1879.

We will be a daytime shelter where our community can use our facilities, internet, workspace etc. We will also be providing breakfast, coffee, snacks, television, and lunch.

Stay alert and be ready to evacuate if necessary. Continue to monitor social media, California Government officials, or first responder updates, as circumstances may change rapidly.

With the ceremony this evening, my year of 2024 weddings closes as the busiest to-date. I do have dates available to add this month. I can book a year in advance for those couples looking at wedding dates in 2025.
