We had a good time at Gibson Park this morning! We were reminded that our job is to plant and water, while God gives the increase. I am often mistaken when I judge my success in ministry based on numbers, so I needed to hear that my success is found in showing up and doing my job. The only way I can possibly fail is to stay home and stay silent. Today was a victory!

We're not a country club for saints. We're a hospital for sinners, staffed by sinners.

Join us today at Gibson Park . We'll be in the stands.

We'll meet this Sunday at 11am for church in the stands at Gibson Park. I'll bring cold drinks and snacks. Pray for good weather and I hope to see you there!

We will be changing the name to Respect Community Church. New City Fellowship is still in our DNA, including PURSUIT of the poor! However, after 21 years of ministry at Booker T. Washington High School as Team Respect, the name that most resonated with students was Respect Community Church. We will maintain the New City logo in our branding and always highlight that we are part of the New City Network, but we wanted to let you know about the name change. It is rooted in love and a desire to reach as many people as possible. Our first service will be on May 31st. Starting July 5, we will meet for public worship on the first Sunday of each month, Lord willing. You can donate to the cause through the attached link. We can use your support!
