I just had a realization. I've always thought of planting a church as farming. Like in a field- plowing the field, planting seeds, fertilizing, watering, and seeing God grow a crop. What I've learned is that professional church planting is more like transferring sod to a bare space and seeing it grow, or bringing potted plants in and planting them. You know, like what a landscaper would do. I don't see myself as a landscaper. Rather, I like to see myself as a farmer. God is growing something here in downtown Miami and we are close to launching regular services. It may not be as pretty as a well manicured lawn, but it's gonna yield a lot of fruit!
