Upcoming Events – Month of May

- The Daughters of Zion will be hosting their monthly meeting on May 7th at 7:00 p.m. All ladies are encouraged to attend.

- The Men of Zion will be honoring the mothers of Zion with a special breakfast on Mother’s Day (Sunday) at 8:00 a.m. Please be on time.

- The Daughters of Sinai will be hosting a Community Clothing Drive. Donations will be accepted on the following Sundays:
May 10th, May 17th, and May 24th at 8:00 a.m. and immediately after church at 11:00 a.m. We appreciate your support in advance.

- Our Baccalaureate Service will take place on the fourth Sunday of this month. If you are graduating from high school, college, or being promoted to middle or high school, please be sure to sign up at the front of the church.

- The church will be closed on Monday, May 25th in observance of Memorial Day.

We look forward to celebrating and fellowshipping together!

✨ Service. Love. Impact. ✨

On April 12th, our Youth Empowered to Serve had the incredible opportunity to volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House ❤️🏡

What an experience it was! From lending a helping hand to simply sharing smiles, this day was not only fun but truly eye-opening. It reminded us how powerful it is to serve others and how even the smallest acts of kindness can make a big difference.

We left with full hearts, grateful spirits, and a deeper understanding of what it means to show up for families in need.

And one thing is for sure… this is just the beginning 🙌🏽
We are READY to serve again!

Genesis 19:26 — Prioritize Obedience 🤍

“Partial obedience is still disobedience.”

Lot’s wife didn’t just look back… she revealed where her heart still lived.

She had provision.
She had protection.
She had her family.
She had a way of escape.

Yet something behind her still had a stronger pull than what was ahead of her.

That’s the danger of divided priorities.

Partial obedience is still disobedience.

God didn’t give a complicated instruction—He gave a clear one. Don’t look back. Delayed obedience, altered obedience, or selective obedience is still rebellion in disguise.

Don’t let your physical override your spiritual.
What she saw in the natural—familiarity, comfort, memories—competed with what God was doing in the spirit. When your feelings get louder than God’s voice, your direction becomes compromised.

God-ordained relationships matter.

She wasn’t alone—she had her husband and children moving forward. But even being surrounded by people walking in obedience doesn’t guarantee your obedience.

This walk is personal.

What you prioritize privately will show up publicly. ❤️
Your heart posture will always manifest in your decisions.

You can’t conceal attachments, cravings, or divided loyalty forever—it will surface at the moment of instruction.

All she had to do was run… and not look back.
That was it.

But obedience will expose what still has a hold on you.

Sometimes it’s not that we don’t hear God…
It’s that we’re still emotionally connected to what He told us to leave.

Ask yourself:
What am I still looking back at?
What have I not fully released?

Because what you refuse to let go of… can cost you your forward movement.

When we seek God, we’re not talking into the air.
We’re calling on a Father who hears, cares, and responds.

The Bible reminds us:
“I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.” — Psalm 34:4

God is not distant. He listens when we pray, when we cry, when we whisper His name in faith. Sometimes the answer comes quickly, sometimes it comes in stages, and sometimes it comes wrapped in peace instead of a “yes”—but make no mistake, He answers.

Keep seeking.
Keep knocking.
Keep believing.

What you bring to God in faith will never go unheard.
