Northwest Baptist Church

Northwest Baptist Church 951 NW 136th St.Miami, FL 33168 305.685.6307 Northwest Baptist Church was founded as a mission chapel in 1950 by the Allapattah Baptist Church, calling Homer G.

The church met in a Quonset hut building until permanent construction began in 1957. The church then called William Chapman as its pastor in 1969 and he served the church for nine (9) years. In 1972 the Northwest Christian Academy was established as a ministry of the church and m

aintains an Early Learning and Development Center (18 mos. - 3 years) and a K4-12 grade school. James R. Summers was called as pastor in September 1979 and continues to serve the church at this time (30! years and counting). We currently run about 1,200 in our Sunday morning worship service and about 500 in our Sunday evening service. The current complex consists of eight (8) buildings which house the church and school, and athletic fields for the school's full sports program and the church youth recreation league.

Good morning Church family!

If you’re coming to the LoveLife Walk today, your GPS will likely direct you to the front of the school. Please note that our actual entrance is on the backside, near the medical facilities one block past the school.

Go to the next traffic light and make a U-turn. Then turn in between the medical facilities and the school. Drive toward the back of the parking lot, enter through the rear gate of the school, and you’ll see our setup there.

Hope to see you all soon!

I know that there are still a lot of investigations to come, but I wanted to let the people of our church know that we condemn the disruption of worship at Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota, this past Sunday.

I wouldn’t like if a lawless mob burst into our church and started terrorizing our church family, and I don’t think you would either! But that’s exactly what happened in Minneapolis at Cities Church on Sunday. Communists do this sort of thing in China, and extremists do it in Nigeria. Now it has come to Minneapolis. Attacking Christians is the new norm among secularists.

A group of anti-ICE activists entered the church sanctuary during a worship service, loudly interrupting singing and preaching and confronting congregants — an action that many Christian leaders say may violate the federal FACE Act, which protects the free exercise of religious worship.

Every person in this country has the right to peaceful protest, but worshippers also have a legally protected right to gather in their house of worship without fear of interruption or intimidation. Churches are sacred spaces where families come to worship God, and that right must be upheld for all Americans regardless of our differences.

Jesus warned His followers that there would be trials in this world when He said, 'In the world, you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.'

We need to stand with Cities Church and pray that the church will be packed this weekend with droves of new attenders, there will be new believers, and The Word of God will increase (Acts 12:24).
