Easter Prayer.

Risen Christ, meet us in our fear and in our joy, in our doubt and in our hope. As you called the women and the disciples, call us again into courage, compassion and faithful witness. Walk with us as we share your love in a weary world. Stay close to us, now and always, to the end of age. Amen.

Celebrate the glorious Resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, with us this Easter Sunday at 11:00 am in the sanctuary. In our Reformed tradition, we gather to proclaim the transformative power of God’s sovereignty over death, rejoicing in the victory of the empty tomb and the promise of new life through Christ’s grace. This service is a joyful culmination of the Lenten journey, where we stand together as a community of faith to witness the fulfillment of God's covenant. Following our time of worship, the celebration continues with an Easter egg hunt for the children in the prayer garden, offering a beautiful space for fellowship and a reminder of the vibrant life that blossoms in the light of the risen Lord.

On Good Friday, Presbyterian worship centers on the somber reality of the Crucifixion, viewing the cross as the ultimate expression of God’s sovereignty and sacrificial grace. In the Reformed tradition, this day is a profound theological reflection on substitutionary atonement—the belief that Christ took upon himself the brokenness of humanity to reconcile us to God. Through prayer, scripture, and silence, the congregation acknowledges the weight of the sacrifice made on Calvary, emphasizing our total dependence on divine mercy. This solemn observance invites the faithful to contemplate the depth of their redemption in the stark, quiet shadow of the cross, preparing the heart for the hope of the Resurrection.

Jesus’ death shakes and reshapes the World.

“Now when the centurion and those with him, who were keeping watch over Jesus, saw the earthquake and what took place, they were terrified and said, “Truly this man was God’s Son!”

In the Presbyterian tradition, the act of foot washing on Maundy Thursday serves as a "living parable" of the humility and servant-leadership exemplified by Jesus Christ. While not considered a sacrament like Baptism or the Lord's Supper, many Presbyterian congregations practice it as a symbolic response to the Mandatum Novum (the "New Commandment") to love one another as Christ has loved us. It represents a radical leveling of social hierarchy within the Body of Christ, emphasizing that even the most prestigious among the session or congregation are called to mutual service. This practice underscores the Reformed commitment to a "priesthood of all believers," where the physical act of washing feet mirrors the spiritual cleansing of the soul and prepares the community to transition from the fellowship of the Upper Room toward the solemnity of the Cross.

Join us in the tradition tomorrow evening at 7:30pm.

Join us tonight @ 7:30pm in the sanctuary for a special performance of Pergolesi's Stabat Mater.

Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater is one of the most hauntingly beautiful pieces of sacred music ever written. Composed in 1736 during the final weeks of his life, it is a deeply personal meditation on the 13th-century hymn depicting Mary at the foot of the cross.
The work moves from a vivid, heart-wrenching portrayal of a mother’s grief into a soulful plea for the believer to share in that same devotion and empathy. Unlike the massive choral works of the era, Pergolesi wrote this for just two soloists but it also has movements for chorus, creating an intimate, operatic dialogue that feels incredibly human. It’s a masterpiece of "pierced souls" and soaring melodies that still resonates nearly 300 years later.

We hope to see you there!
