I have a question. Bear with me please.
We have mega churches on top of mega churches on top of mega churches (Joel Goldstein, TD Jakes, Creflo Dollar, Joyce Myers etc.) we have local churches on top of local churches on top of local churches, just drive around your neighborhood and you will see one on every corner. We have spiritual leaders on top of spiritual leaders on top of spiritual leaders (Jackie Hill Perry, Sarah Jakes Roberts, and many more social media spiritual coaches posting and promoting their message). Even Kanye West is at least professing the name of Jesus, whether he is a true believer are not, the fact is, he's a huge influence on the resurgence of Christian popularity, especially with music selection it. It is a fact, it is almost cool to be a Christian in today's world.
Here is my question, why is the homeless and property rate still rising? Why is the divorce rate still rising? Why are hate crimes and murders still rising? The Bible says you cannot get sweet and sour water from the same well (James 3:11), so why with so much sweetness from the milk and honey produced by the word of God, still not changing the death and destruction we see in the world? Jesus, and all of his disciples warned us that things will get worse before they get better, just read the book of revelations, specifically Revelation 13. So, are we fighting for no reason, preaching for no reason, are we helping for no reason? Are the peaches and the evangelist doing their job by giving the word, and it is the fault of the homeless and those living in poverty because they are not listening, and are rejecting the word of God?
Where are the programs to re-integrate, educate and assist the homeless, disabled, impoverished and abandoned? Yes, there are tons of these organizations listed, and can be found on Google, from my "PERSONAL" experience, very few are actually doing the work, and those that are, will give you the runaround and one million hoops to jump through before you get one shred of assistance. Why is it that we have super mega million is, and super mega trillion dollar companies, and yet our nonprofit sector is running on pennies?
