🔥 MIDWEEK REFLECTION 🔥
This past Sunday, Overseer Senior Pastor Olden Reese preached a powerful word that challenged us to examine our hearts and our priorities.
📖 Malachi 3:10 (NIV)
“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse… and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.”
But here’s the question we must ask ourselves: What happens when the blessing becomes more important than the Blesser?
What happens when the very thing you prayed for starts pulling you away from the God you prayed to? Sometimes, the greatest danger isn’t what we go through before the blessing; it’s who we become after we receive it.
Before the blessing, you were fasting, praying, seeking His face, and trusting His promises. But now that the blessing has come, have you stopped seeking Him? Have you become so consumed with what God has placed in your hands that you’ve forgotten the God who holds your life in His hands?
🙌🏽 DON’T LET THE BLESSING BECOME A DISTRACTION FROM THE BLESSER!
The house, the job, the relationship, the opportunity, the increase—none of these things should take the place of God in your life. The blessing was never meant to replace your relationship with Him.
Don’t get so excited about what God has given you that you miss His call to return to Him. The greatest blessing is not simply what God can put in your hands, but the privilege of knowing Him, walking with Him, and remaining in His presence.
🔥 REMEMBER: Don’t love the gift more than the Giver. Don’t pursue His hand so much that you neglect His face. And don’t allow what He blessed you with to pull you away from the One who blessed you!
💭 REFLECTION QUESTION: If God took away everything you prayed for, would you still seek Him with the same passion you had when you needed Him to provide?
