Our Little Roses Foreign Mission Society OLR is an NGO in San Pedro Sula, Honduras providing at-risk girls with residential, educational, medical, dental, social-emotional, and spiritual care.

OLRFMS is the nonprofit US arm of OLR with offices in Miami, FL supporting OLR through fundraising Our Little Roses Ministries is an NGO (Nongovernmental Organization) in San Pedro Sula, Honduras serving girls placed in its care because they have been abandoned, abused, neglected or orphaned. OLR provides a full-time residential home for 60 girls, a bilingual Episcopal school, medical and dental clinics, a Spanish language program, and a living-learning center for girls pursuing post-secondary education through university, teachers college or trade school. Our Little Roses Foreign Mission Society, Inc. is a U.S. 501(c)(3) whose purpose is to support the work of Our Little Roses Ministries. The situation of destitution, poverty, and abuse can be desperate for many little girls before Our Little Roses intervenes - and the situation still is for the girl child who has not been rescued. These are girls with no one to care for them, no one except Our Little Roses Ministries in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, and the sponsors who support this transformative work. Sadly, there are still many such children who live in hope of a home and someone to love and nurture them, provide for them, and give them an education to help them meet the challenges of adult life.

On World Food Day, we’re reminded that nutritious food is an important part of helping every girl grow, learn, and thrive.

Care at Our Little Roses means more than a safe place to live. It means making sure our girls have healthy, nourishing meals that give them the energy to learn, play, and pursue their dreams.

Your support helps keep our girls nourished, healthy, and ready to learn.

Today, on World Students’ Day, we’re celebrating Denia and her dedication to learning. A member of her school’s Academic Excellence Honor Roll, Denia recently received an Academic Excellence sash, which she proudly wore during Honduras’ Independence Day parade.

Before joining Our Little Roses, Denia had fewer educational opportunities. Today, she is making the most of every opportunity to learn and grow. We are so proud of Denia and all our students who continue to show us the power of education.

On this International Day of the Girl Child, Critzenn’s story reminds us of what is possible when a girl is given the opportunity to learn, grow, and dream.

From her toddler years through high school graduation, sponsors walked alongside her. After graduating last year, Critzenn began university, where she is now studying Biology and building the future she once dreamed of.

Critzenn is part of the 86% of girls at Our Little Roses who complete high school, showing what can happen when girls have access to safe housing, healthcare, education, and the support they need to thrive. Her journey reminds us that investing in girls means investing in their futures, far beyond graduation.

Today is World Mental Health Day. We’re taking this day to remind our girls that their past does not define who they are or who they can become.

At Our Little Roses, our girls have caring staff and specialized professionals who walk alongside them, listen to them, and support them through the challenges they may face.

Every girl deserves to feel seen, valued, and deeply loved as she continues to grow and find her own path forward.

National Arts & Humanities Month reminds us to explore the beauty, creativity, and culture that surround us. At Our Little Roses, many of our girls are dreamers, storytellers, and creators. When we invest in the arts, we give them more than an opportunity to create. We give them a way to express themselves, explore their identities, and share what is in their hearts when the words may not come easily.

Happy World Space Week! Throwback to a special day when our girls visited museums and explored and learned about the world beyond them!

Giving our girls opportunities to experience new places, learn new things, and expand their horizons is one of the greatest parts of what we do. We love seeing their curiosity grow and watching them dream about what’s possible.
