Notice the common ground between the words Communication and Communion.
What if our communication is far more sacred than we realize?
What if our words are not just sounds we release into the air — but reflections of the God who spoke light into darkness, life into dust, and love into the world through Jesus, the Living Word?
Tonight we begin a new series: Communication .
Together we’ll explore what it means to be women made in the image of a speaking God — women whose words can wound or heal, divide or reconcile, create fear or cultivate life.
From the very beginning, Scripture reveals a God who communicates.
“And God said…”
And then Jesus came — not merely bringing words from God, but being the Word made flesh.
If we are made in His image, then the way we speak, listen, respond, avoid, encourage, confront, bless, and remain silent all matter deeply.
Over these next five weeks, we’ll journey through:
✨ listening as a spiritual discipline
✨ conflict, criticism, and repair
✨ words that heal and strengthen
✨ truth-telling with love and courage
This is not a series about becoming more polished communicators.
It’s about becoming women whose words sound more like Jesus.
Because every conversation is moving somewhere.
Toward distance or toward communion.
Toward life or toward destruction.
Toward one another — or away.
And maybe the deepest invitation of all is this:
God is not just teaching us how to speak.
He is teaching us how to commune.
See you at the Table
See you in the Candlelight.
WE ARE ONE.
