Through song and storytelling, David Wesson, joined by vocalist Dottie Youmas and banjo player Mark Rubin, will take us on a musical journey exploring the beauty, contradictions, struggles, and dreams that have shaped America.

✨ Women of Shir Chadash Launch Sunday Sessions with The Museum of the Southern Jewish Experience ✨

The Women of Shir Chadash successfully launched their new intergenerational "Sunday Sessions" program series with an engaging evening featuring Kenneth Hoffman, Executive Director of the Museum of the Southern Jewish Experience.

Hoffman presented "The MSJE in 10 Archives and More," sharing fascinating stories behind artifacts in the Museum's collection and offering practical advice on preserving treasured family heirlooms and researching Southern Jewish family histories. Attendees enjoyed wine and hors d'oeuvres while learning about the rich legacy of Jewish life in the American South.

At the same time, children participated in a creative and interactive "Art with Art" program led by Art Bennett, our beloved Gan teacher. The young participants enjoyed hands-on activities inspired by Jewish culture and history, followed by a kid-friendly dinner.

The evening brought together members of all ages for learning, creativity, and community building. The Women of Shir Chadash are grateful to Kenneth Hoffman, Art Bennett, and everyone who attended for helping make the inaugural Sunday Session a wonderful success. We look forward to future programs in this exciting new series.

🎨✨ Two engaging programs. One unforgettable evening. ✨📚

Join us for our inaugural Sunday Sessions program, sponsored by WSC (Women of Shir Chadash)! While adults enjoy a fascinating presentation from Kenneth Hoffman, Executive Director of the Museum of the Southern Jewish Experience, kids ages 3–12 will get creative with our beloved Mr. Art with fun-filled Jewish-themed arts & crafts.

Shavuot begins TONIGHT and we've got opportunities for learning, prayer, and fun for everyone!

TONIGHT, May 21 | 6:30 PM: Community Tikkun Leil Shavuot Program in conjunction with Congregation Gates of Prayer and the Jewish Community Day School. Join us at Gates of Prayer on this Erev Shavuot for a night filled with food, friends, and Torah. Come for an hour or stay all night! All are welcome, however registration is appreciated: bit.ly/JointShavuot

Join us at Shir Chadash the following morning at 9:00 AM for Shavuot Services & Yizkor, followed by a dairy oneg. Shabbat and Shavuot Services will also be taking place Friday evening at 6:15 PM and Saturday morning at 9:30 AM.

Saturday morning at 11:00 AM we will also be having our first session of Summer Musical Family Shabbat - Shavuot Edition! Children and the adults who love them are welcome to join us in the Shir Chadash Beit Midrash for Shavuot songs, stories, and fun!

Shavuot is upon us and we are happy to share that our Community Tikkun Leil Shavuot Program is back, this year in conjunction with Congregation Gates of Prayer and the Jewish Community Day School! Join us at Gates of Prayer on Erev Shavuot, May 21st, for a night filled with food, friends, Torah, and an incredible line-up of our community's educators. 🍦✡️⛰️
