CCRNO - Catholic Charismatic Renewal of New Orleans

The Catholic Charismatic Renewal of New Orleans (CCRNO) is a self-supporting office of the Archdiocese of New Orleans. MORE INFO AVAILABLE @ ccrno.org

CCRNO exists to glorify God, proclaiming Jesus Christ as Lord through the power and gifts of the Holy Spirit, and to serve the Catholic Church in its renewal; and desires to renew the experience of Pentecost through the baptism of the Holy Spirit. It began in 1969 under the leadership of Fr. Harold Cohen, S.J., and has pioneered Charismatic Renewal activities in this region since then. CCRNO sponsors weekly, monthly and annual events designed to promote the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the lives of Catholics throughout the Gulf South. Our Mission Statement:
CCRNO exists to glorify God, proclaiming Jesus Christ as Lord through the power and gifts of the Holy Spirit, and to serve the Catholic Church in its renewal. CCRNO desires to renew the experience of Pentecost in the people of God through the baptism of the Holy Spirit, the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and the fruit of the Holy Spirit. CCRNO seeks to foster growth in life in the Spirit.

CCRNO Adult Prayer Meetings take place every Wednesday Night at St. Benilde in Metairie, starting at 7:30 PM

CCRNO Youth for Teens and Young Adults meet Sunday nights from 7:30 to 9:30 PM at the Archbishop Rummel High School Raider Room.

Registration for January Retreat 2027 is NOW OPEN!! All teens and young adults are invited to join CCRNO for a weekend centered around the transformative love and power of the Holy Spirit! This year’s ministry team will include Fr. Cassian Edwards, Courtney Brown, the Eric Cedor worship band, Nick Flynn, and more! High schools, parishes, CYO’s confirmation classes, and youth groups are invited to bring a group! Individual registration is open as well. Spread the word and go to ccrno.org to sign up today!

Also applications for work crew for January retreat 2027 are due TONIGHT. All juniors and seniors in high school who have attended at least one January retreat are eligible to apply.

Allie will speak on the verse Matthew 17:20 and share her own experience of stepping out in faith and watching the Lord move. We hope to see you there, and encourage you ti invite a friend!

Join us at youth group tonight as we welcome guest speakers Peter and Mary Schaffo who will share with us their incredible story that focuses on when God’s plan isn’t what you had in mind, holding onto hope, and learning how to surrender to His will. This year’s back to school night was one for the books!! After a quick game of “clap trap” we entered into a time of praise and worship before having our discipleship panel led by four of our CCRNO alum. At the end of the night we said a special prayer for all of our recently graduated seniors as they embark on the next chapter of their lives. Finally, we closed the night with ice cream floats! Know that we are praying for everyone as we start the new school year.

Ready or not, here it comes…it’s back to school night at CCRNO! Come join us this Sunday for praise and worship, a game, prayer, and discipleship panel hosted by a few of our college students! Ray, Katie, Morgan, and Diego will be sharing about their own experiences of keeping Christ at the center of their time in school, as well as answering your questions about prayer, school, friendships, and formation. We will close the night with ice cream floats! We hope to see you there!
