Metairie Pathfinder Lions and Adventurer Cubs will be hosting an Elegant Night on December 17th at 6 pm. This is the night we get to dress to impress and walk the red carpet.

It was a beautiful morning for our Pathfinders to serve along Adventist Community Services. We donated 11 buckets 🪣 with cleaning 🧼 supplies to add to the over 200 that ACS had for that day. We were all touched and blessed for having helped many affected people that are still struggling from Hurricane Ida in Montegut, Louisiana. To God be the glory!

Donamos 11 cubetas llenas de productos de limpieza para colaborar con las más de 200 que ACS tenían para ese día. Fuimos tocados en el corazón y bendecidos de poder haber ayudado varios de los afectados que aún están naufragando las repercusiones del huracán Ida en Montegut, Louisiana. A Dios sea la Gloria!

After another wave of COVID-19 and Hurricane Ida, we are back by the grace of God. We will be focusing on community service. Today parents and Pathfinders coordinated. We are happy to volunteer with Adventist Community Services. If you would like to donate cleaning items we will gladly be accepting them. If you would like to make monetary donations instead, we will gladly accept them as well.

We lost a great leader. Our Conference Pathfinder Club Coordinator. We have a hope that we will see her again. Praying for her family. 😞🙏🏼

Fun morning in our Fishing 🎣 outing! Several of us were learning the skill. We enjoyed marvelous weather and a really good time. Thank you Luis and Kim Aguilar for leading the instructions on safety and fishing 🎣.

Pathfinders first camping 🏕 trip weekend, post COVID. We enjoyed an informal camping trip. All we needed was to get away from all the quarantine and be able to enjoy together in fellowship while working on our skills.

Older Pathfinders reviewed their skills in pitching tents ⛺️, camp cooking 🍳 , and fire 🔥 making, while newer pathfinders were learning these skills. We earned our Tents, Camping Skills I and Camping Skills II Honors.

We completed our Bubble Honor today! We began our meeting singing the Pathfinder song 🎶, reciting our Aim, Motto, Pledge, and Law. The younger and newer Pathfinders are learning it, and I was delighted with their willingness to volunteer to lead!

We went over soap dish formulas, safety rules, and we also covered physical properties of surface tension and explored the subject deeper by performing a couple of experiments. Our bubbles were not as big because our humidity was at 55% and windy (needs to be 60% or higher and wind destroys bubbles), but we were grateful that we were able to make some anyway. 😊

We began working on our Bubbles Honor. We looked into verses containing one of the ingredients in a Soap 🧼 Bubble, which was water 💦. Studied some of the physical properties of a Bubble molecule, and made a model of one with their hydrophobic and hydrophilic ends. God willing, tomorrow we continue with the experiments!

Yesterday we celebrated our Metairie Lions 🦁 Pathfinder and Metairie Cubs 🐾 Adventurer Clubs’ 2019-2020 Investiture ceremony and 2020-2021 Induction ceremony. Due to the pandemic 😷 we did both in one. To God be the glory 🙏🏼!!

We pray that God continue guiding us in the path of goodness, truth, valor and above all in the path of loving and servicing Him. We pray that we all bring Him honor, and may He keep us strong 💪🏼 even through adversities that we may face.

Today would have been our first annual Christmas 🎄 Banquet. We were going to share with the Metairie Cubs Adventurer Club a beautiful evening.

We were able to visit the new Pathfinders and current ones, and deliver them with a little gift 🎁. Many plans were changed this year due to the pandemic, but we trust in God that we will come out stronger from all this.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
