PHOTOS FROM THE START OF THE NATIONAL EUCHARISTIC PILGRIMAGE:
From our St. Augustine (FL) Diocesan Section President-

In celebration of the 250 year anniversary of our Nation, the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage was launched in St Augustine on May 24th at the National Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche.

Fifteen Knights & Dames plus guests had the opportunity to participate in the Pilgrimage and Procession , both in St Augustine, FL (Pentecost Sunday May 24th) and in Fernandina Beach, Fl (Memorial Day May 25th).

It was very inspiring to witness the power of Christ's presence in the Eucharist as people stopped what they were doing to observe and pray.

As we processed with Jesus through the streets of St Augustine and Fernandina Beach we lifted up prayer intentions for our country as One Nation Under God; for victims of war & Christians in the Middle East; for EOHSJ Members and our personal prayer intentions.

On Monday May 25th before the Fernandina Beach procession, Knight Chaplain Father Ernie Davis provided an Overview and Reflection on the History of Fernandina Beach and the Catholic presence on Amelia Island and St. Mary's River at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Fernandina Beach.

After his reflection, we processed and participated in Benediction with the Most Reverend Bishop Erik Pohlmeier and prayerfully sent off the Floatilla with the Holy Eucharist.

From Northeast Florida, the pilgrimage will travel north along the East Coast all the way up to Maine before concluding in Philadelphia on July 5.

THIS SUNDAY’S START OF THE NATIONAL EUCHARISTIC PILGRIMAGE WITH MASS FOR THE SOLEMNITY OF PENTECOST:

From our St. Augustine (FL) Diocesan President-

St Augustine, Florida serves as the launching point of the 2026 National Eucharistic Pilgrimage.
In honor of America’s 250th year, the 2026 National Eucharistic Pilgrimage will carry the theme “One Nation Under God.”

One Nation Under God is not a slogan—it’s an invitation to realign our lives, communities, and country under the sovereignty of Christ. It’s a call to build unity through prayer, and to let Jesus, present in the Eucharist, renew and heal the heart of our country, one soul at a time.

Details on attending the Opening Mass in-person and virtually by livestream are as follows:

TODAY IN JERUSALEM:
Happy Feast of the Finding of the Holy Cross!
May 7, 2026.

This refers to the fourth century “finding” of the True Cross by Saint Helena, mother of Emperor Constantine, in Jerusalem near Calvary.

The reliquary of the True Cross seen here is placed on the altar during our Lieutenancy’s Vigil Services held each year before Investitures.
