Welcome to Summer! ☀️

Have you heard of the “summer slide?” It is not the fun kind of slide you find on a playground! 🛝

🧠 The summer slide happens when our brains aren’t challenged to learn and grow during the summer months. Without regular practice, we can forget some of the information we worked so hard to learn during the school year.

🚀 One great way to prevent the summer slide is by participating in our IXL Leaderboard Competition. All students are able to complete skills and earn space on the board.

🎯 Students entering 2nd through 7th grade have 20 required math and reading skills to complete “From Your Teacher” by August 18th.

Keep learning, keep growing, and have a fantastic summer! 😎

🎉 Our faculty and staff kicked off summer with a wonderful end of the year luncheon at St. Mary’s Restaurant and Catering! Great food and drinks, wonderful company, and a meaningful cause—supporting children and adults with developmental disabilities. ❤️💛

Today we celebrate the retirement of a truly remarkable educator, Mrs. Karen Hassell, after 33 years of dedicated teaching. From equations and formulas to life lessons and encouragement, her impact reaches far beyond the classroom; her passion has inspired countless students and colleagues. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten! Enjoy the “aftermath!”
