From Pastor Jim

Join us tonight in person for prayer and Bible study (livestream at 6:45) as we countdown to celebrating 250 years of God's Grace in sustaining our Nation.

The command of Psalm 33:10-12 is a call to acknowledge, repent, obey and love The Lord our God. Psalm 33:11-12 is a command to acknowledge the One true God and the promise of His restoration as a Nation.

Questions we will examine tonight.

The Counsel of the Lord vs. the plans of people?

What Does 'Blessed' mean? How much more can God bless than what He has already done?

It is too late for some Nations to repent?

What does 'God is the Lord' mean?

From Pastor Jim

The Bible teaches that whenever the Lords calls people to Salvation He demands we leave the old lifestyle and live for Him. Leaving behind our old ways is difficult, but doable through the power of the Holy Spirit. And whenever the Lord called people to service or ministry, He did not always reveal clear details about what the future would bring.

He did, however, command we trust and obey. Abraham was called from a life and land of paganism to a land he could not see or know, but he trusted in the Lord. A forgotten part of Abraham's journey was the fact he built tents, because Abraham did not live for this world, but for an eternal inheritance. Tents were temporary, as is this world and all it has to offer.

Abraham sought a 'city whose foundation and builder was God' and as soon as the Lord revealed Himself, Abraham responded with obedience. He did not know where he was going or what the journey entailed, but by trusting and following the Lord, he knew he would get there.

Jesus made it crystal clear in this world we 'will have trouble' (John 16:3). The suffering servant of the Old Testament, Job said, 'Man is born to trouble as sure as the sparks fly upward' (Job 5:7). But for every question, trial, trouble and temptation satan and this world throws at us, Jesus and His Word has an answer.

Join us Sun. night at 6:30 to learn 'How To Find Answers In Troubled Times.' This message will teach us how to find the answers we need in order to stand strong under and overcome the burdens of this world.

A wildly popular song called 'It's your thing' premiered in 1969. Some of the lyrics says, 'I can't tell you who, to sock it and give your love now, to whoever you choose.' A catchy song sung by extremely talented artists, but the reality of 'doing your own thing' can be dangerous and deadly.

The Bible is filled with numerous Scriptures and examples of men and women who 'did their own thing' and the consequences were disastrous.

Join us tonight as we continue our study through Proverbs and see the 'Deadly Danger OF Doing Your Own Thing.' (Livestream begins at 6:45).
