As young believers grow in their faith, it is important for them to understand that the Christian life includes spiritual warfare. The Bible teaches that we are not fighting against people, but against spiritual challenges that try to pull us away from God. Through learning about the Armor of God, youth discover how God equips them to stand strong—with truth as their belt, righteousness as their breastplate, faith as their shield, salvation as their helmet, the gospel of peace on their feet, and the Word of God as their sword. By putting on this armor daily through prayer, faith, and obedience, young people can learn to face life’s battles with courage, wisdom, and confidence in God.

We had our first Sunday last week speaking about everyday Christianity. We were challenged to share with one person about Jesus or invite them to church. Project Jerusalem is where we see our city as a missions ground instead of just our home. We want to be intentional about bringing people to Jesus in our home town and beyond. Just like the disciples shared the Gospel in Jerusalem first we want to share the Gospel in our Jerusalem here in Dallas. Please join us for the next few weeks as we discuss missions and God’s plan for the Church! Church adress is at the top of our home page!

We would like to introduce our Youth Class, a special space created for young people to grow in their faith, build meaningful friendships, and discover their purpose in Christ. We are beginning by meeting once a month, with the hope and vision of growing into meeting every Sunday as the Lord leads and as our youth community grows. Our goal is to create a welcoming and encouraging environment where every student feels valued, heard, and supported.

Through Bible teaching, open discussions, prayer, and fellowship, we desire to help our youth develop a strong foundation in God’s Word and learn how to live out their faith in their daily lives. We believe this generation has a powerful calling, and we are committed to guiding them to know Jesus personally, walk confidently in His truth, and shine His light wherever they go.

We had a great service Sunday. Pastor Tim shared God’s plan for marriage under His plan and rule for both men and women. Even though the fall brought separation between us and God, He brought restoration through His son Jesus. We can find hope and redemption by following God’s plan for our relationships. Genesis 3:15, Roman’s 5:12.

This chapter reminds believers to stay spiritually alert and live with faith, love, and hope as we wait for Jesus’ return, encouraging joy, prayer, gratitude, and care for one another. During our time together, we were blessed by a special speaker, Gloria, who shared her powerful testimony about coming to Texas and how God freed her from the chains of alcohol. Her story reflected the message of the chapter—walking out of darkness into light and trusting God’s faithfulness to transform and sustain us.

“For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
— 1 Thessalonians 5:9

— Efesios 5:8

Church, our values are not just words on a wall—they are a way of life.
We are called to love as Christ loved (John 13:34–35), to walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7), and to remain devoted to prayer in every season (1 Thessalonians 5:16–18). We believe the church is more than a building; it is a body where every part matters (1 Corinthians 12:12–27), a community where burdens are shared and no one walks alone (Galatians 6:2). Through service, we become the hands and feet of Jesus (Matthew 25:35–40), serving with humility and compassion (Philippians 2:3–4). When we live out these values together, we shine as a light in the world (Matthew 5:16) and reflect the heart of God to those around us. Don’t forget to join us for our More Than Words series every Sunday of this month. Service starts at 10:30 AM, and we’re located at the Rutherford Recreation Center.

WalkByFaith LoveLikeJesus

We are excited to introduce our new sermon series, “More Than Words,” a message that calls us to live out our faith beyond what we say and into what we do. This sermon reflects our church values by reminding us that love, faith, service, and obedience to God are shown through actions, not just words. As we grow together, we are challenged to align our hearts, decisions, and daily lives with the truth we proclaim, becoming a living testimony of Christ’s love for our community and beyond. We invite you to join us every Sunday—service starts at 10:30 AM, and we are located at the Rutherford Recreation Center—come and be part of what God is doing.

Let’s choose to start this new year with God at the center of everything we do. Let’s choose faith over fear, prayer over worry, and trust over doubt, even when the future feels uncertain. As the Word reminds us, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight” (Proverbs 3:5–6). Let’s release the weight of the past—the mistakes that taught us, the losses that shaped us, and the seasons that stretched our faith—and step forward believing that God is not finished with us yet.

We may not know what this year will bring, but we know the One who goes before us, preparing the way and walking beside us every step of the journey. “The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you” (Deuteronomy 31:8). Let’s choose to seek God daily, not only in moments of need but in moments of gratitude, remembering that “Those who seek the Lord lack no good thing” (Psalm 34:10).

Let’s choose obedience over comfort, patience over rushing, and humility over pride. This year is not about being perfect, but about being surrendered—allowing God to shape our hearts, renew our minds, and guide our steps according to His will. “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind” (Romans 12:2). When challenges arise, let’s choose to lean on His strength, trusting His promise that “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9).

With God leading the way, let’s choose hope in the midst of uncertainty, peace in the middle of the storm, and love in a world that desperately needs it. Let this be a year of growth, healing, restoration, and purpose, knowing that “The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me” (Psalm 138:8). As we step into this new year hand in hand with God, we choose to trust Him fully, believing that His plans are greater, His timing is perfect, and His grace will carry us through it all. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord… “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11). 🙏✨

It’s always our past that haunts us. In adulthood, we’re still trying to heal from what we went through in childhood—trauma, depression, anxiety. The truth is, we all carry wounds.

Jesus reminds us in Matthew 16:24–28 that healing doesn’t begin by holding onto our pain, but by denying ourselves, taking up our cross, and following Him. Letting go of the old self isn’t easy, but it’s the path to real life. What we surrender to God no longer has the power to define us.

Prayer:
Lord, we bring You our past—the pain, the memories, the wounds we still carry. Teach us how to deny ourselves, lay down what hurts, and follow You fully. Heal what was broken in us and give us strength to walk in freedom. Help us trust You with every part of our story. In Jesus’ name, amen.
