In Philippians 4, Paul teaches that prayer becomes the place where anxious hearts are gathered into the peace of God. Since the Lord already knows the outcome, he uses the process of prayer to refine the one who prays, reshaping desire, steadying the mind, and preparing the soul for obedience, endurance, and whatever answer his wisdom has already prepared.

Join us Sunday, August 16, for the third week of our series, "Why Pray If God Already Knows?" and this week's message: The Refiner's Fire.

Scripture presents a God whose rule over the world is complete, wise, and unthreatened, and yet this same God has chosen to accomplish many of his purposes through the prayers of his people. Intercession is the holy mystery in which human beings step into their God-given role as co-laborers, and our petitions become instruments through which the kingdom of God presses into the circumstances of earth.

If God already knows everything, why do we still pray? Because prayer was never meant to inform God—it was meant to transform us through relationship with Him. In this series, we’ll discover that prayer is less about getting answers and more about drawing near to a Father who already knows, already cares, and already invites us close. As we learn to pray like Jesus taught, we’ll move from performance and pressure into presence and peace. This is an invitation to experience prayer not as a duty, but as the doorway into a deeper life with God.
It is my sincere hope that you will have a deeper and fuller
experience of faith as a result of the Why Pray if God Already Knows series.
