“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with me”. Revelation 3:20 I had a picture just like this hanging on my wall when I was a kid. I had many questions. I prayed and asked him to come into my heart and reveal himself to me. I’m so happy he did!!

Notice there is no door handle on the outside, it has to be opened from the inside. Jesus wants to come into your heart and life.. thus this is the simplicity of the gospel of grace. He paid for your sins on the cross and is knocking, waiting for you to let him in!!

Who are you rooted in? A person, a church or Jesus of the Bible? (God)

EVERYTHING IS SO TEMPORARY!
As I ponder and reflect over this past year and the many trials I've had to endure, I can't help but think of how blessed I am to know the Lord Jesus. His love and Grace for me has seen me through many difficult changes and new beginnings. A new place to live which He provided. New job and new clients. New and beautiful mountains to explore. New relationships along with the broken down car. Moving lots of things far away and divorce are just a couple of the difficulties of the year. Everyone around me is cellebrating this holiday season with meals with family and friends and shopping for gifts. My family is not near me at all and I don't have money for gitfs, it went to fix my car. Yet, I know the spending and spending is all part of the here and now temporary feeling I can't seem to shake. The Lord is reminding me of eternity with Him and what is most important in life. Do I struggle with lonliness at times and hurt from broken relationships-Yes of course. But in light of eternity with my Savior it all seems so fleeting. I know He is going to wipe away every tear and continue to mend my broken heart and bring healing to my life! He is my greatest gift! I am humbled blessed and grateful. 1 Peter 5:10 written by Terri Jo Middleton

FROM CHAR'S DESK
Many times Christians are puzzled as to why Mormons don't realize that their religion is not true when there is so much evidence of errors and contradictions in it compared to the Bible. I decided to ask an ex-Mormon the answer to this dilemma but, believe it or not, I received my answer, not from an ex-Mormon, but from an active Mormon! Following are portions from his e-mail:
.."People don't join the Mormon Church to have a consistent and scientific set of beliefs; they join the Church for many other reasons and mostly NOT for doctrinal reasons. Basically they like the feeling of warmth, of belonging, of tradition, of "knowing", of feeling superior, of sensing that they have the answerers to life's' difficult questions. We don't care whether we are wrong, we aren't in it to be right, we are in it to feel good. And we don't much care whether the Bible is complete or not, whether it is in error or not. Modern revelation trumps all other scripture anyway. We could have no Bible or BofM at all, and things would go on just fine. We don't follow the Bible, we don't follow the BofM, we follow the prophet."

So maybe now you will understand the answer to this puzzle, at least from one Mormons' viewpoint. Mormonism is man-centered and Christianity is Christ-centered!
