Effective 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 — 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 — 𝘄𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗦𝘁. 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗢𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗱𝗼𝘅 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵.

In his official decree, His Grace recognized the “s𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗳𝘂𝗹, 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗚𝗼𝗱’𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽.”

This milestone belongs to our entire St. John family—to everyone who has prayed, worshipped, served, sacrificed, given, taught, cooked, cleaned, built, sung, welcomed newcomers, raised children in the Faith, and faithfully helped build this community.

We are deeply grateful for all that God has done. Yet becoming a parish is not the end of our mission. It is a new beginning.

May St. John continue to be a place where people encounter Jesus Christ, experience the ancient Orthodox Christian Faith, grow together as a spiritual family, and carry the Gospel into our community.

WARNING: Your kids may not want to leave.

We’re building a Kids Fun Zone at the St. John Fall Festival designed to answer the question every parent eventually hears:

“What can we do next?”

Bounce houses.

Petting zoo.

Face painting.

Lawn games.

Kids Nerf War Zone.

And more.

But here’s the important part:

We don’t want parents reaching for their wallet every five minutes.

So instead of charging separately for activity after activity, a Kids Fun Zone wristband is just $10 per child.

THE HOMEMADE BAKE SALE WORTH SHOWING UP EARLY FOR.

This weekend, join us at St. John the Evangelist Orthodox Church for our Dormition Tea Party & Bake Sale in honor of Our Lady, the Most Holy Theotokos.

Our parish bakers have prepared an extraordinary selection of homemade favorites:

Artisan sourdough breads, green chili and Parmesan sourdough, sourdough bagels, cinnamon rolls, pumpkin breads, banana nut bread, quiches, mini pies, pound cakes, brownies, cheesecake brownies, lemon bars, muffins and HUNDREDS of homemade cookies.

This isn't grocery-store bakery food.

These are the kinds of homemade recipes people ask for, look forward to, and wish they'd bought more of.

And every purchase has a purpose.

Our children's outdoor play structure was damaged in a storm. ALL proceeds from this bake sale will go toward providing a new play structure for our children.

So come for the Dormition Tea Party. Take home something incredible. Buy an extra loaf for the freezer. Bring home cookies for the family.

And know that every purchase helps us build something wonderful for our children.
