Over the years there have been many Missionaries that have traveled with Missionary Blount. In her later years of life she turned this mission over to her son Pastor Emil Thomas, who worked beside his mother. Pastor Thomas wrote these words to Canaan Missionary Baptist Church. The vision of my mother, Missionary Sybil Blount to reach back and reach out to the children of her home community of Pennington, St. Catherine as well as Point Hill and Watermount has been a labor of love and an assignment from God that has resulted in saved souls, encouraged hearts, and educational scholarships that equipped persons to live productive lives. It is now time to pass the baton to a new generation of missionaries who can take this vision to the next level. We felt blessed to have this opportunity to share the gospel in Jamaica and to see the growth in our children whom we look forward to see each year. This year we are continuing The Scholarship Program, our goal is to scholarship 2 students from each of the three churches we have Vacation Bible School. Watermount , Point Hill and LLuidas Val.
