Mesa Chapter SUP member Grant Davis will present pioneer history of the Honeymoon Trail. Grant has done extensive research on this subject and looks forward to sharing with our group!

After dinner, we will be honored to hear from author Stephen C. LeSueur.

Stephen is a former journalist and magazine editor. His book, The 1838 Mormon War in Missouri (University of Missouri Press) won the 1987 Best Book award from the John Whitmer Historical Association. He and his wife, Kathy, live in Arlington, Virginia.

Stephen is the author of Life and Death on the Mormon Frontier: The Murders of Frank LeSueur and Gus Gibbons by the Wild Bunch and contributed a chapter to Excavating Mormon Pasts: The New Historiography of the Last Half Century.

We'll gather at the Evergreen Ward Building on 700 South Evergreen Rd. in Tempe (Cross roads, Evergreen and University Ave.) Enter thru the South door and make your way to the Cultural Hall.

You may want to eat before coming unless you want to have ice cream for dinner - which we highly encourage!

Besides indulging in our awesome Ice Cream Sundae Bar, the highlight of the night will certainly be enjoying live music by
The Brass Cats! They will be playing a set of patriotic songs that celebrate our great country.
