Today, members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints across Arizona (and throughout the country) gathered to discuss one of Heavenly Father’s greatest gifts: the freedom to choose.

The conversation focused on moral agency, religious liberty, and the responsibility we each have to use our freedom to follow Jesus Christ and bless others. We are grateful for the blessings of liberty and the opportunity to worship according to our conscience while respecting the beliefs of others. When the sun goes down, the festive water tower lights turn on and the water tower plaza becomes a festive Christmas gathering place of giving to lift those in need. You can enjoy the beautiful music playing as you give at the machines or you can tune into radio station 88.9FM from 5:30pm-10:00pm daily and enjoy the impressive lights display from your vehicle.

Hey friends of Eastmark Stake, the Giving Machines are here! Imagine swiping your credit card at a vending machine—but instead of buying a candy bar for yourself, you’re buying a polio vaccine. Or a pair of shoes. Or 100 meals for your local food bank. With the Giving Machines, that’s exactly what happens. The Giving Machines provide a way for people in our community to follow the example of Jesus to help those in need and make the Christmas season a little more meaningful for themselves and for countless others.

Celebrate the original Christmas story by visiting the Mesa Temple Christmas Lights and International Nativity Display—with more than 100 nativities from around the world.

The temple lights are on every night, 5-10 p.m., from Friday, Nov. 25, through Saturday, Dec. 31, on the north lawn of the Mesa Arizona Temple, 101 S. LeSueur, in downtown Mesa. Free parking is available nearby.

We invite you to explore the International Nativity Display as you witness inspiring works of art depicting Christ’s birth. Open 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. each evening from Nov. 25 to Dec. 31 at the Mesa Temple Visitors’ Center, 455 E. Main St. (just west of the temple grounds on the corner of LeSueur and Main Street).

November is the final month of our Autumn Indexing Challenge. Last month we outpaced the previous four months in records indexed and had more participants than any other month this year. Great efforts! Please help us keep the momentum going by indexing each week this month.

Good Morning Brothers and Sisters

It has been a few years without Christmas Lights at the Mesa Temple. What a great opportunity to help set them up this year! We will be setting them up THIS SATURDAY MORNING (11/5) We need a total of 24-30 members in the stake. Youth may participate. We will be meeting at 7 am on the Temple Ground. Please bring your own gloves. We will be hanging lights on some bushes that will have thorns. Expected time to end is 10 am, but it may be earlier if we complete our assignment sooner.

We will meet on the north east side by the east Bougainvillea just outside the fence around the temple.
